RMVB is getting famous as a format used in movie series especially from HK, Taiwan, Japan, Korea. Even more widely use avi, wmv or mp4. But I Can't seem to find any RMVB splitter or joiner. Any expert please recommend any software to cut/ join RMVB.

I wondering what is the best software to split/cut avi file which is a dvd-rip that I download from kazaalite.

I did used virtualdub b4 but the output not so nice.
The sound not sync with the video though.

Any suggestion?

Vdub is the tool to cut avi without losing the original quality. Make sure you select direct stream for both audio and video. However, if the audio is in vbr format you may have sync problem. Try use Nandub if you are trying to cut avi with mp3 vbr audio. From my experience, nandub works most of the time. If the avi audio is ac3, then use vdubmod.

As for vcd, tmpeg mpeg tool can be of use to you.

Err..vdub itself. Add resize filter during your editing. It will resize during processing.

Download winrar and extract the movie file into a single file. After installing winrar, right click on one of the rar files you donwloaded and extract.
