Currently I am the supplementary line holder of my friend.

My brother has just got his maxis postpaid and I intend to register under him using the current mobile number.

I called Maxis and they informed me that my friend needs to go over Maxis with my brother to do the transferring.

I wonder why my friend needs to go over since now I intend to transfer. Even if I wanna cancel the line, I should go will be enough and why must be participated by the principal holder?

They probably need your friend's authorisation kuar? I dunno, never done it before. sweat.gif

no international roaming when its supposed to have !!!!!!

Why dont you try calling their customer service line? Just dial 122 from your Maxis fixed line and you can speak to the operator.

hies...

ermz.. its their procedure.. cuz your fren is the main line holder.. your number is registered under his name... they need his approval.. in person.. before they can terminate the line...
i guess this is to make sure that they dont get into any trouble... kinda like insurance for themself.. and protection for their customers too...

u can either call up 123 to check ur balance.. or go to easyaccess>m-billing>maxis>bill to date> then send... =)

as for the cdt limit.. i think u gotta call up maxis centre and ask.. i think they can only make ur cdt limit RM100 minimum.. not sure... =)

I dont like sending SMSes. Sometimes just to ask a simple question needs a few SMS between both parties. In the end, calling and getting a quick answer is cheaper and faster. sweat.gif

That's certainly for sure. But newer generation prefers text messaging rather conventional voice calls. Plus text messages has evolved to fancy messaging which may include either one of the following elements; audio, graphic or even video.

That's true, but I still find it annoying. I mean, they can have all the time in the world to create those fancy sms but cannot just simply call. >_>

The only situation when I use SMS is if I want to inform alot of people at one time, then I just mass SMS. Other than that, I'll usually just call. Who knows, maybe I'm impatient, but I want my answers fast instead of waiting for a SMS reply. laugh.gif

Massive SMS forwarding is good if you have yourself a Nokia phone. My pathetic Samsung doesn't come with the function of sending the similar message to several numbers. mad.gif

I'm using a SE handphone actually. SE has this function where you can sort contacts into groups for SMS purposes. So when you want to mass SMS, you just select the group and everyone in it will get the SMS.
