easier way would be turn ur engine to on mode (not start), press the 2nd left button above the radio (the one with the dot that u use to unlock ur door) then the alarm will reset and u can lock back using remote.
weird that "dot" button on my car doesn't work even the 1st day i got this car. last time alarm siren i turn key to on then press press press it, still siren non-stop. have to quickly replace the remote battery (fell down terus battery konk), luckily got spare battery and screw driver with me...
actually the campro acceleration behavior, good for relaxing in kl traffic-jam condition, where you just want slow moving and less frequent braking... drove my family old altis, slight click on pedal have short burst of acceleration, in those traffic-jam condition i need more frequent of pressing brake pedal to slow it down, not really fun unless for ah beng whom loved zip-zap overtaking...
my old iswara is still running carburator whereas persona is fuel injection.
QUOTE(hyloy @ Jun 17 2015, 05:22 PM)
what i undrestand that iswara is the last car model that run carburator during my time at 2000.
iswara also got fuel injection lar.... the uk spec model which once appeared in Mr. Bean show and engine kaboom because the golf stuck on exhaust tip... another model is the "cares" version which is special green color. those were my dream car when i'm on primary school. too bad now cannot find good condition your iswara sure more save fuel than persona if you got the carburetor healthy and finely-tuned..

How much ATF fluid is drained each time for the Persona? I drained mine the other day, and it was definitely more than 4Ls, but I'm not sure how much more is it. I've added up to 4.9L of ATF already, and I cannot really fathom the dip stick reading after numerous shiftings and wiping.
Edit: I went around the net trying to find an answer before this, and it was either 5L or 4L or 4.5L. With the car started and after shifting through the gears, wiping and leaving the stick in for a few good seconds, the level is just slightly around a quarter below the max cold line, which is perfect. But I am in doubt because when I added the ATF the level didn't seem to be changing at all.
Without the engine started, the ATF reading covers both the max of cold and hot, so this is not really ideal, but then again the measurement of the ATF should be taken with the car started and after shifting through all of the gears according to the manual.
4.9litre? wouldn't that overfilled? usually i read 4-4.5 litre on internet. last week sent my car change atf, that mechanic did not even start car and gear still left in P when he's filling. he fill-up using 1 bottle of 4 litre, and i saw some atf leak down from beside, might because gear left in P?

I'm not entirely sure either... Proton didn't include the drain amount in the manual . I only realised that it was more than 4Ls after the 4L engine oil bottle I was using overflowed, but I didn't bother to find out how much extra was there . I went out just now though, and I checked the level at working temperature and it's touching the max hot line, so for now I believe that the ATF level is most likely around 5L if it's just normal drain with some extra time allocated for the ATF to continue dripping .
Edit: I think it might be leaking cause he poured too much ATF in one go. The air that fills the space in the gearbox when it's draining comes out the same way the ATF goes in.
TDUEnthusiast today without car started and engine cold, i measured atf. The level is on max hot, meaning cover both hot and cold, seems sufficient. as minor from 4 litre of atf leaked out when my mechanic pouring, i'm abit doubt and worried it wasn't enough, so just now top-up another 300ml like that, seems no changes on the atf level.
the atf dipstick reading seems not properly designed. should've exchange the hot and cold if i read your findings.

Giant sale offer Shell fully 5w40 at rm122, I'm thinking to buy it. But my concern is it genius or not ?
now giant also got sale promotion on engine oil? wow.. i still remember many years they been selling castrol engine oil, price more expensive than other hypermarket.. what other brand available at giant now?
Hows the condition of the car? after 150k milleage. Got tikus sound?
tikus sound = genuine proton campro (with or without iafm) engine. i changed the aircond belt, still getting the tikus sound a short period on morning start.
Has done that several times before in PROTON SC, remap the ECU back to it's default setting. Problem still the same. Checked my car using eletronic devices, everything normal, the problem is there from day 1, don't think so it's the IAFM problem.
since you mentioned from day 1 already like that, then that is normal behavior lor. it's norm to be overtaken by kelisa kancil when going up genting as their car was lighter.. what is your current mileage? i guess your engine still very new and hence not fully break-in yet. mine took 40,000km something to be rev-happy. when new hard pressing pedal also hard to exceed 4k rpm, now simple hard press will exceed 5k rpm.
syntium 5000, 7000 quite pricey. But if syntium 1000 can get around rm200 only, but only got xw-50 only.
Woh, didn't know eo can shop on9 also, which site ar? Lucky not buy yet
walao, no need so premium lar, over rm200 for engine oil in campro engine... last month i saw formulashell 5w30 fully synthetic selling at aeon(jusco) for rm129. formulashell is import from US if not mistaken...
today, i want to overtake a lorry in front of me (at highway), i push down accelerate pedal until my rpm meter up to 4.5- 5 k already, but my persona sv response so slow lerr..
why aa? and this happen many times already before..
the lorry you overtake is already running in 100-110km/h, so no turbo-boost to assist your need for speed... seriously mine 4k rpm already cukup to overtake snail car which running low 60-80km/h
yes, that slow response you mentioned above were the same thing happened to me this morning and few times before..
my car's spark plug already been changed by SC during 20,000 km service my current millage about 26,000 km
boss, what is your speed when u gonna overtake the lorry? "slow" got different definition by individual... seeing you mentioned 4.5-5.5k rpm i think speed should be sufficient right?
I know ar, ayam just saying whether possible to make our car sound high pitch
still like to listen "noisy engine" roar? time to change your mindset liao! hybrid-alike quiet car is the future trend... see nowadays f1, so quiet, without ear bud also no problem.
