he..he..he.. biggrin.gif
need some assistance here with my HT width which to use 16-16 or 8-8...
and i more thing need conformation on which to data change if i want to set 5-5-5-15-2T
actually the 2T/1T i know aredy just for the other need to confirm...
so to all sifu's out there plz do help in educating me.... icon_question.gif

hehehe... 16 up 16 down or 8 thing you figure out yourself tongue.gif
run benchmark and see the different

well, a-b-c-d-2t
a is CAS Latency(tCL)
b is RAS to CAS Delay(tRCD)
c is Row Precharge Time(tRP)
d is RAS Active Time(tRAS)
2t is Command Timing(CPC)

I have a question, it seems that sometimes my AMD ATHLON 64 X2 4000+(2.11 Ghz) overclocks by itself..... sweat.gif
Any suggestion what the hell is wrong with it?????
hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

from 2100MHz to 2110MHz is not even 1% 0vercl0ck doh.gif
the specification say your processor speed is 2.1GHz doesn't mean it iz OH REALLY ONLY 2.1GHz.
it's just rounded up number, for the senang kira sake.

want to ask somthng.. i'm interested in dfi dk 790fx-m2rs.. can i oc this motherboard happily without crash?? biggrin.gif
this motherboard use sb600 n not latest sb700.. just afraid there is another bug in sb600..
right now i'm using gigabyte mobo with 690v n sb600.. this board suck almost..
another more question.. can this board oc brisbane 4400 g2 to 3.0GHz or 3.2GHz.. juz wanna know.. tongue.gif
just dreaming to oc'ed my proc more than 3GHz.. lol  laugh.gif

DFI... the mobo famous for many bad emotion/attitide doh.gif
Genie BIOS a bit difficult for beginner i'd say, but once you get used to it, it ROCKS!!1
usually over 300HTT (which make your CPU go over 3.0GHz) is no problem.
i have many bad impression on Giga + AMD whistling.gif

Hello averyone, AMD X2 3600+ and AMD X2 3800+ for socket 939 have a potential to oc'ed up to what speed eh? with stoch HSF  blush.gif
*

depends it's a Manchester E4 or Toledo E6 core
E6 tends to clock higher (same core as FX60) brows.gif
you can check OC database here: AMDGeeks

can someone guide me how to oc furthermore?

your processor has low multiplier, you can try:
disable Cool&Quiet, fix LDT ratio to 3X or 2X, lock AGP clock at 66MHz
drop your memory divider, limit it to DDR333,DDR266 or even DDR200 in case your RAM cannot keep up.
you can try set CPU voltage at stock (is it 1.4V ?) then use special 104%.
if want to play with voltage, make sure you got proper cooling on CPU and RAMs.
keep push up while run superpi 1M (save time)
after get the maximum CPU achieveable speed then only run full day stress + fine tune memory timing.

Please teach me how to OC all those things at stable status, ur help is much much appreciated!!

lazy to read? tongue.gif somemore post so many places.
reference
reduce HTT multiplier 4x or 3x, RAM clock, disable cool&quiet, increase CPU FSB clock by 10 each time.
use SP2004 or PRIME95 check stability, use SUPERPI 1M as CPU benchmark.
you should able to feel the speed of K8 after 2.6GHz, SUPERPI around 34seconds.
EDIT: updated.

SS is screenshot. which BIOS version you're using?
i'll say 1.50V is still safe for Venice + stock cooler.
remember disable cool and quiet, loose up RAM timing.
disable SATA3&4 (just try it)
this mobo can take up to 355HTT on stock voltage, tested by myself.

wah, really? can give me the settings detail, like RAM timing?
im using the kingston value series.
the bios version im not sure.
i thinks it's phoenix award 6.00pg.
so i need to:
loose RAM timing, disable cool & quiet, disable SATA 3&4.
tried increase v-core to 1.5 and can get 260 Mhz & do SP2004 for 30 mins.
havent get chance to set it higher. probably tonight.
*

try 3-3-3-8 with 2T or 3-4-4-8 with 1T because you're using 2x1GB sticks
(CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS, suggestion only & depends on RAM speed)
phoenix award 6.0 is mobo firmware version
not bios version la, see CPU-Z 3nd page-BIOS-Date smile.gif

ASUS M2N-VM DVI
nVidia mobo need to set HTT multiplier lower (4x, 3x, 2x) keep it close to 1000MHz wink.gif
lower it won't affect performance but better stability. play safe with temperature & voltage.

also your RAM divider/ratio thing, lower it to 533 or 400 when you overclock it will raise back follow ratio.
DDR800 = 2/1 x2
DDR667 = 5/6 x2
(DDR600 = 3/2 x2) this is special memory divider rclxub.gif
DDR533 = 2/3 x2
DDR400 = 1/1 x2

243 *12 CPU multi = 2916MHz
243 *5 HTT multi = 1215MHz (too high, not stable, lower it to 4x /3x)
243 *(3/2 x2) mem div = DDR729 rclxms.gif

core0 /core1 have 8-10°C different? can you adjust the "temperature reading interval"(for CoreTemp) to higher value?
vdr0p is voltage lower than setting anytime no matter idle /load.
vdr00p is voltage lower than setting when 100% load.
is your 3GHz stable when 100% load? if not you need a little higher vcore to compensate the drop.

hehe windsor F3 spotted brows.gif ready to rush over 3.0GHz
pls FIX your vcore & CPU multi at a value(recommend try default value 1st), disable power saving settings (for test purpose)
drop HTT multiplier 4x 3x (keep HTT speed below 1000 for stability, you did) & drop memory divider 400MHz or 1:1
many info @AM2 clan you can ask there too, better respond tongue.gif
many "pro" & "poison" inside, enter at own risk (safe la) laugh.gif

underclocking HTT won't improve FPS. in fact, slower but not obvious.
use core0 /core1 depends on windows, consider normal as long you don't feel the "lag" /pause in game.
btw, got install AMD Dual-Core Optimizer?
QUOTE(AaronLooi @ Apr 14 2009, 05:07 PM)
sorry my mistake. My cpu voltage is at Auto while my vcore voltage is at 1.33v
My mobo has locked at 1.33v. i can only choose either 1.33v or Ignored in the bios settings.
sad.gif

if not mistaken cpu voltage = vcore, same thing just different name.
bold part thats monitoring, not setting laugh.gif
