Also, what is the recommendation for a good budget mech keyboard right now? QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Feb 9 2015, 10:30 AM) What if I told you both also don't get? TK : non-standard layout Razer: cloned switch (poor reliability) - Razer fans said is cherry compatible not clone or fakes For your budget, I would recommend you Ducky Zero TKL which in your budget. QUOTE(biggerman88 @ Feb 9 2015, 10:55 AM) Actually if you can find an older version of rezer blackwidow, it still uses good-ol-cherry - it was still around last year. Tested out the rezer new clones (its china made but use the same patent by cherry) - if you're a regular user, u will feel some difference, not much but some. For new user to MX key, please please just dont read review and buy online just because it's cool. Go to a store and click yourself away. There is alot more then just sound and bump feel. You can even feel the different implementation from razer, CM storm, gigabyte, steelseries, filco or ducky.. And , yes, in my oppinion filco's and ducky's has the most genuine implementation of cherry MX. QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Feb 9 2015, 11:59 AM) Would recommend Ducky Zero TKL too Or Ducky Zero Shine TKL(if want LED)... Hi all, thanks for your reply, will go to shop near me to try out the ducky!I think a lot of people fall into marketing gimmicks, like Razer(yea, best for gaming which apparently in real-life, it's not). |

QUOTE(CmLimExa @ Feb 9 2015, 02:36 PM) Psst, someone is just making me do it You can register another lyn account and surf these serious forum.I wanted another signature, but I can't at the moment. Fine then; what is the 'budget' mech keyboard at the moment? (Seriously, laptop keys are killing me). Decent mechanical keyboard price is more than RM300. Or you may get below the stated price if you get 2nd hand. Filco Majestouch 2, Ducky Shine, CM Storm QFR-i. I also type using laptop built-in keyboard right now. You can check the first page of the recommendation keyboards. |

QUOTE(hustlerism @ Feb 9 2015, 04:36 AM) Does anyone know how to repair a mechanical keyboard? I think my mkb has no warranty already. Im currently using Corsair Vengeance K70 red switch. The problem is i accidently splashed some water on it and the key becane unresponsive and the led is dead. The whole line starting from Left shift become unresponsive. Other keys seems to be working. Please help me. Unresponsive as in totally dead and not responding? If whole row is not responding, that probably mean something is burnt. You might want to look for electrician to help you troubleshot it in details. |

Taobao going to be cheaper, but you need to wait till CNY festive is over.i knew that www.wasdkeyboards.com have some, just thought they might be local solutions?? Since minimum purchase is 1KG and those things you mentioned is just few grams, may be you can consider getting some sets of aftermart keycaps together. Enter key (it is rare to find invidual enter key to be sold alone, may be you need to purchase the whole numpad cluster or even whole full layout) Plastic claw (it's stabiliser inserts, in taobao they call it "豆豆" and "龙舟“, IINM osmium is made by same OEM as razer bw - iONE, I too had bad experience with their stabiliser inserts and eventually swapped it with keycool one) Metal bar (as for metal bar, it is hard to find aftermart parts, worse that for iONE made board with 6units long length instead of costar 6.25units length. your best bet is to carefully bent them back) If you are to get aftermart keysets from taobao, do notice that most of them are for costar/cherry standard layout, which the bottom row keys are 1.25 units long, with spacebar of 6.25 units length. You can find iKBC's RGB modifiers set which have included compatible keys for 1.5x sized ctrl and alt. |

Anyone bought stuffs from sprit ? Seems like he disappeared again. I pity those who has not received anything. I mean he delivered mine. I think another forumer here received his but some people on GH has not received anything since r1. Anyways, he still has some of my stuff. Not much but I don't wanna lose out. I've already filled a dispute with paypal since the transaction is not over 40 days yet. Just wondering if anyone knows how it works? If he doesn't respond by the date they state, would I get back my full amount? Very curious and disappointed with him. Hmm.
