+1 bro.

hello guys.

le me new owner of AKG Q701 which I just bought.

currently 10 hours of burning, and I found the bas is punchy compared to the AKG K701.

currently using the ASUS Xonar Essence STX stock Op-Amp without any amplification.

looking for good amp to amplify this 62 Ohm cans.

any suggestion guys?

p/s:no need to be that pricey like bro xEDynamics.

with the help of a good friend, they've develop a burning playlist to minimize those noises.

hihi, nv tried k242 b4 so cant comment on it....whether u nd an amp or not its all depends on u, some ppl feel tht the output witout amp is not enough so they get an amp to enhance the output(i think its call enhance)...DAC is digital to analog converter, it convert ur digital signal on ur pc to analog signal...sry not good at explaining... blush.gif

well, basically wat an amp do is it increase the power of ur signal thus u will hv better output...u can headover to jaben in subang to try out the headphone wit n witout amp...

Never had any experience with on board sound card, been an Apple kaki since Macintosh days blush.gif

iMac / MacBook > USB > FiiO E17 (DAC/Amp) > FiiO E9 (Amp) > AKG Q701

iPhone > FiiO E9i (Amp) > AKG Q701

Nope, FiiO E9i is for docking the iPhone but you can still use the FiiO E7/E17 by using the FiiO L7 adapter to bypass the internal amp then hook up to the FiiO E9i via the 3.5mm input at the back.
