QUOTE(Belphegor @ May 5 2015, 12:20 PM) Meaning to say no point in searching for any jobs in SG at all? Should ask him stay put in Malaysia? Frankly speaking, with only SPM very hard to get a desk job in SG for foreigners. Your friend I guess has 10+ years of work experience? That might increase his chances a bit but it still won't be easy. I'd tell him it's no harmed done to try and apply for SG jobs from Malaysia, but it would probably be risky for him to quit and come here to try and search. |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 12 2015, 04:15 PM) or maybe i only can blame myself for not being skilled in particular module to demand more :/ Put it another way. Median monthly income for all employed ppl in singapore is $3.7k including employer CPF. So your $3.5k offer is already above average. |

QUOTE(beancountz @ May 14 2015, 12:48 AM) My EP application got rejected after waiting for 1 week since application submitted. Anyone have any idea what to do next, how to appeal and get it approved? help please.. QUOTE(anthonyz @ May 14 2015, 02:42 AM) What was the reason given to you for your rejection? MOM/ICA never gives any rejection reason for work pass / PR application rejections. Anyway for EP rejection I think the company has to appeal on your behalf (since the company is the one that initiates the application)? |

QUOTE(sheng291 @ May 14 2015, 04:08 PM) am going to submit PR application, wondering where could I do certified document translation services in JB..Thanks What documents? Think most of us here don't bother translating Malaysia documents like birth cert. Although technically and officially they say must translate but rarely they will reject Malaysia documents. |

QUOTE(tampinmy @ May 14 2015, 10:37 AM) The nationality status of my wife was wrong. Ah, so it seems they will inform you if your rejection was for technical reasons (incorrect data, etc). But if your application itself was correct and they still reject, as far as I know nobody has ever successfully gotten a turned down reason. |

QUOTE(beancountz @ May 18 2015, 03:45 PM) what can i do next? Nothing. No matter what, your company (or its agent) must take action. All you can do is continue chasing / following up. Get your hiring manager involved as well and see if he can put pressure on them to expedite. |

QUOTE(justjoe @ May 20 2015, 09:42 PM) Eh guys, I've recently received a check via bank A and my account's in Bank B. So to cash it out, do I go to Bank A or Bank B You write your Name and Account No (at Bank B) on the back of the cheque, and bank it into Bank B. Bank B will then get the money from Bank A and deposit it into your account. |

Aiyo as PR no problem lar, reach 55 y.o. if no interested anymore then renounce PR withdraw all CPF then gtfo back to Malaysia lor. Sure get back one lah, worst case scenario is PAP raise minimum sum to s$1m to pay you, end up Sinkie suffer only mah
Now if you say PR convert to Sinkie ... that one is a much bigger consideration. |

Yes the rate is normally lousier than money changer rate. Yes there's normally some additional charges on top of that. But if you need cash badly then suck up those small losses lo. |
