i tot u have 1k, coz u said 600 and 400 each amp.
if 600 only i suggest u save up some more la, around 800 maybe can get alpine pre amp depends la what type. if its the normal cheap equiliser type, i not recommended la, make your system noisier. better use that budget for new head unit, nowadays come with equiliser built in. |

if u want sq, then save up some more money, get some good component speakers for the front budget at least 800, run without amp first.
then save up for a 4ch amp, budget at least 800 also rear speaker no need. buy a subwoofer, budget around 500 and connect to the 4ch amp. |

get a 4ch amp, a front component set ( no need to use your ss tweeter) and sub.
xover in comp set is passive, not electronic xover. passive comes between amp & speakers. elec. xover comes in between HU and amp. 3 way component is better, but much more expensive, plus u need a very powerful amp. active system is when u dont use any passives. all speakers have their own amp. so if u have 3 way system (tweeter, mids & sub) u will have 5 or 6 amp channels. if 4 way (tweet, mid, midbass, sub) u need 7 or 8 channels. rca is the signal cable that goes from HU to amp, or if u have any elec. xover in between, also uses RCA cables. xover is used to separate the frequencies to the correct speaker. high frequencies go to tweeter, midrange go to mids, and lows go to sub This post has been edited by zennn: Jan 25 2011, 11:51 AM |

hpf and lpf are the filter in crossovers
hpf = u only let the frequencies higher than this value pass thru lpf = u only let frequencies lower than this value pass thru another one is bandpass, which is combination of both lpf and hpf so in a 3 way system: front/high out: hpf = 2500 hz = all frequencies above 2500hz goes to tweeter rear out/midrange: bandpass lpf = 2500, hpf = 50 = all frequencies in between 50hz and 2500hz will go to the midrange sub out: lpf = 50hz = all frequencies lower than 50hz will go to the sub |

difficult to answer, if u have the chance to plug it in and play thats the best way la
other than that have to rely on other users review & recommendation. |

QUOTE(kinmin888 @ Mar 16 2011, 09:34 PM) So basically how to tune the amp? if its for the front components, it should be set to to hpfi had a two chanel amp, which has a lpf, hpf , n cross over (all, high, low) n it is connected to my front component set. my current setup is lpf=20, hpf = x sure (later I check), x over = low, it produce a decent sound for those oldies but not for some rnb song. how to tune for a bälance sq n spl setting? try to take a picture for us, then can give better answer. usually can only choose one only, not all three |

4ch amp for vifa mid & tweet 2ch or mono amp for sub dont worry about the sub side for SQ, better upgrade the 4ch amp to better one, as you already have good player and speaker |

if u want to use 2ch for mids & tweets u will need a passive xover
this one normal system la, many ppl use like this, very common, wont kill your amp, provided when u bridge mono the 2ch for amp, make sure its within the amp's specs. this usually means u need a normal single voice coil sub, kenot use double voice coil sub. also check if the bridged power rms enuff to match the sub's power rms prokick i donno, never use b4...neither have any of my friends |
