What they meant is waiting for maxis to restock 64GB and above

My maxis line was pretty patchy too last night, but I'm in Klang area. Seems to be fine today.

Actually my friends in Singapore report the same situation with their telcos, hardly any 64GB sets available even now. Maybe we need to cut maxis some slack, hehe..

Cannot be walking everyday into various maxis branches and asking about stock availability kua...

If betul betul got pass by then just ask lor. I wouldn't make an effort to go and purposely hunt them down for it

Yup, best way to test is if u have a spare phone pop your sim card in there or if friend/relative with same maxis line nearby can test signal quality side by side...

Same here. If I walk past maxis outlets I will just ask, if don't have I just walk away. I'll probably get a 16GB one soon. Sign a one year contract and sell the phone when the contract is up.

I think the savings for iValue simple is negligible, not worth tying yourself to a 1 year contract. Might as well buy the device outright at Apple Store.

I'm going for iValue 1 coz my data usage averages about 2GB per month. The free minutes more than enough to use for me

Well, in my situation, I'm planning to buy an iPhone 6 Plus from maxis. So when I narrow the field like that, the choice is then somewhat limited to availability. I understand completely as a consumer we have a whole host of choices, but I'm not keen to buy an Android phone nor am I keen to buy the iPhone without subsidy. Oh, and no, I won't consider other telcos. See my dilemma? Hehe...

For 24 months you will need to pay 1,229 device price + 930 upfront, so that's 2,159.
For 12 months you will need to pay 1,699 device price + 465 upfront, so that's 2,164.

The advance payment will be credited back in your upcoming bills so it's kinda like a deposit that will be refunded back to you. You'll be saving 470 on the device by signing a 24 month contract vs a 12 month one, but if your usage is well below what you get for the iValue 2 plan, then it's an extra commitment to maxis for the amount of 155 x 12 months. So you be the judge of what's worth it based on your usage and what you can afford.

I've asked the maxis CS on this and they told me they have a tracker and can tell you whether or not you qualify AFTER you register, which means you wont know if you qualify or not before hand. Sucks, right? I asked if I can go to maxis center and ask if I'm the first 100 for this week, and if not I'll come back next week, and they said can't be done. They can only check after the registration is done, ha ha.

Anyways, also noticed some people asking in their forum if the week starts on Monday or Sunday and they can't give a clear answer too, ha ha... For my money, I'm guessing the week starts on Monday.

Yup, I've survived 2 years with an iPhone 4 and 1.5 years on an iPhone 5 both with 16GB. Should be able to do it once more till the next upgrade cycle.
