QUOTE(tcken @ Dec 13 2014, 06:54 PM) Maxis store page is like facebook to me now. Everyday have to check for the availability of iphone 64gb. seriously, no one know whats happening? :S As mentioned, I heard a staff saying earliest they expect stock is in February 2015. I asked in their online forum if this is true they deny it but they can't say when exactly they will have new stocks. In other words, I don't think you should waste your time checking their website everyday, haha...

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Dec 15 2014, 11:40 AM) i dunno if its true but it kinda tallies with attw's statement. nvm la, as long buy it before GST imposed. and with our weakening ringgit, prices of iphones might increase soon. The thing is, when I emailed them to confirm this (that 64GB stock is only coming in February 2015), they categorically deny it and said they can't provide a specific timeline and "are trying very hard" to bring in the phones soonest possible. I think it's a bunch of b*llsh*t though. Somewhere in the supply chain, with Brightstar now in the picture, something is wrong. Either they stocked too many 16GB ones and need to clear them first or there's some kind of dispute somewhere. I can't buy the "global shortage" excuse when Apple Online Store is delivering in 3 to 5 business days.

QUOTE(ck.chunkeat @ Dec 14 2014, 09:18 PM) The thing is i've compared celcom and maxis postpaid at that area that my friend mentioned, celcom had lte while maxis only have gprs. But im not sure whether is it that there's some problem with maxis at that time when I went there. :/ So I wanted to know the feedback from other users and see whether they face the same problem or not. Was just in Genting over the weekend, bringing my kid to watch Elmo... maxis only has 3G speeds up there where else Celcom has LTE. So line coverage really depends on where you live, work and play. Best test all telcos before you finally choose one, especially if you're going to sign a contract.

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Dec 15 2014, 11:55 AM) ofcoz maxis wont confirm to anythin black&white.. so they will just deny confirming your queries. yes i believe something happened in Brightstar's stock order. They expected ppl to buy the 16gb coz much cheaper and it burned them bad i guess. Lousy la...hope maxis gets its stock straight from apple nxt time. I emailed them and said "Please confirm this so we can choose whether to go with a different phone - or with a different telco", Ha ha ha..

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Dec 15 2014, 12:11 PM) if maxis has stock, im one the the ppl willing to commit to 2yrs contract ivalue2. good money for maxis.. but they screwed up big time. now im tempted to look at other phones like meizu mx4 or oneplus one. hope i don't give in to temptations..haha.. Same here, ha ha ha. Actually, while waiting, I would consider other phones from maxis (maybe the Sony Z3) but unfortunately they are all a 2 years contract. I don't think it's worth taking a contract that long on an Android phone considering the value halves in a year...

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Dec 15 2014, 12:21 PM) if i'm gonna be contracted, ill opt for the note4. one splendid looking phone. Ya, it's a pity they don't offer a one year contract on those phones. Anyways, the other option is to go with a 16GB and upgrade later with the 6S. But that will mean diligent storage space management and discipline for a year. Ha ha.

QUOTE(ilovecookie @ Dec 15 2014, 03:51 PM) Can I ask something regarding purchasing iPhone 6 Plus with Maxis package? I definitely clueless. Do I have to buy the phone along with a new maxis number? Or can buy thru package with existing Maxis number? Help me.. Either way is OK, can buy with new number or use existing number, so long as you don't have an existing contract

Yes, you have to change your existing monthly commitment to either one of the five options available: - maxis One Plan, iValue 1, 2, 3 or 4. The plan you choose will then become your new monthly commitment.

QUOTE(ilovecookie @ Dec 15 2014, 04:22 PM) Okay, I got it. Thank you so much! So.. which iPhone are actually always on stock - it is depends on Maxis Centre itself? And, what is reimbursement period? I'm thinking of getting one on early/mid January For now, mostly you can only find 16GB variants of the phone, and yes, it varies from center to center. Reimbursement period for advance payment is over 5 months, if not mistaken. If you have been with maxis for more than a year, they can waive the advance payment.

QUOTE(ilovecookie @ Dec 15 2014, 04:39 PM) If I wanted to get iPhone 6 Plus 16GB thru iValue 1 Meaning that, I have to pay RM300 in 5 months and monthly fee RM100 in 12 months? 1st 5 months = RM400 monthly next 7 months = RM100 monthly Is that how it works?    Assuming you haven't been with maxis for a year and you want iPhone 6 Plus 16GB on iValue 1 for a 12 months contract: - When register, pay 2,199 (device price) + 300 (advance payment) = 2,499 1st month to 5th month: Bill will be 100 - 60 = 40 monthly (60 x 5 = 300) 6th month to 12th month: Bill will be 100 monthly Hope that helps. QUOTE(ilovecookie @ Dec 15 2014, 07:29 PM) Are you saying I have to pay 2,499 upon registration? Sorry, I don't quite understand with the calculation Yes, because you need to pay the device price. I suggest you go to the nearest maxis outlet to enquire.

QUOTE(ilovecookie @ Dec 16 2014, 06:18 PM) I checked SenQ and SenHeng website. I don't find iPhone 6/6s on the list. No other Apple product either. Are they also sell Apple products? Just go to the nearest branch, but limited quantities available, and mostly just the 16GB variants. Maybe you can call them first to check before hand.

QUOTE(ise @ Dec 18 2014, 10:15 AM) Nothing to do with maxis. Manufacturers warranty for most phones is one year, unless you buy from SenQ or Sen Heng. 2nd year warranty borne by them.

QUOTE(warlockimran @ Dec 18 2014, 06:29 PM) Thanks for this jssl. Appreciate it. I have a receipt but aiyo so much personal stuff on there. Scary to post. Guys who wanted to see receipts (meebandong, KoYuKii, deepan84) do you mind if I PM you the receipt? If you believe then can you vouch for me? Better than me posting on an open forum. No need to prove yourself, bro. Just enjoy your phone

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Dec 20 2014, 05:58 PM) i just received an email from Maxis Cyberjaya branch which i registered mu interest on mid November. "Hi, Your request for the change of iphone 6 64GB Space Gray to iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Gray has been updated in our ordering system. Due to global constraints in component supply, Apple has informed Maxis that supply for 64GB iPhone 6 & 6 plus will only normalize in January 2015. Therefore, we could only replenish 64GB iPhone 6 & 6 plus stock from Maxis with effect from January 2015 and subject to the actual date to be announced by them. In view of our long waiting list on hand, your order might only be fulfilled from February 2015 onward. Please be patient and we will notify you via email or our customer service may inform you via phone call as soon as your requested stock is available. Sorry for any inconvenience caused." Pretty much confirms what maxis center staff are telling their customers. "Global constraint" is a horrible excuse, considering that Apple Store delivers in 1-3 business days. I'm pretty sure it's a supply chain screw up between the telcos and Brightstar.

QUOTE(hiryuu @ Dec 20 2014, 10:28 PM) I just got 1 from 1U, 8.30pm and theres 1 unit of space gray left there. 1U is a maxis exclusive partner (MEP), and not a maxis branch. With the MEPs, I think it really depends on your luck. What more, some MEPs very lansi, only wanna sell to new registration, don't want to entertain existing customers.
