Yeah, I started to practise kiamsap-ness due to rising cost, weak myr & future gst.

Maxis has $300 cashback offer for EPP 0% Citibank (new cards) & m2c (weekly first 100 users). I think it's quite worth. I may opt for 16gb if I want to be first 100 buyers weekly for m2c promo.

Talking bout Red Sale, when it will be happened? And normally what is the promotion? How much discount? If the offer is good, then better wait for it...

When does the week start for m2c? Sunday or Monday?

It's just before cny and usually on Friday. 2013 promo was meh. More on accessories. 2014 promo was good as i5s had some discounts. I can't remember exactly but you can check at soyacincau or similar websites. I thought it was good because Apple products usually no discount.

Unfortunately, it's not stated. I was searching for that particular t&c.

I'm guessing it's Monday since the promo ends feb 8th which is a Sunday. I'll probably call and ask when I'm ready to buy. If anyone else has info, do let us know.

Its ok, already found the info for last year red sale... It was on 12 Jan... iPhone got about 161 less... There also discount for another device... Quite a good deal i guess...

If Im not mistaken, the Iphone 5s 16GB had a Rm200 -Rm250 off RRP. Was a very good buy for one day only.

Well, in my situation, I'm planning to buy an iPhone 6 Plus from maxis. So when I narrow the field like that, the choice is then somewhat limited to availability. I understand completely as a consumer we have a whole host of choices, but I'm not keen to buy an Android phone nor am I keen to buy the iPhone without subsidy. Oh, and no, I won't consider other telcos. See my dilemma? Hehe...

For 24 months you will need to pay 1,229 device price + 930 upfront, so that's 2,159.
For 12 months you will need to pay 1,699 device price + 465 upfront, so that's 2,164.

The advance payment will be credited back in your upcoming bills so it's kinda like a deposit that will be refunded back to you. You'll be saving 470 on the device by signing a 24 month contract vs a 12 month one, but if your usage is well below what you get for the iValue 2 plan, then it's an extra commitment to maxis for the amount of 155 x 12 months. So you be the judge of what's worth it based on your usage and what you can afford.

Ha, I'm eyeing this too.

I've asked the maxis CS on this and they told me they have a tracker and can tell you whether or not you qualify AFTER you register, which means you wont know if you qualify or not before hand. Sucks, right? I asked if I can go to maxis center and ask if I'm the first 100 for this week, and if not I'll come back next week, and they said can't be done. They can only check after the registration is done, ha ha.

Anyways, also noticed some people asking in their forum if the week starts on Monday or Sunday and they can't give a clear answer too, ha ha... For my money, I'm guessing the week starts on Monday.

I hope it would be the same for i6+. Then no need to get from maxis.
