QUOTE(dino89 @ Mar 13 2016, 10:07 PM) Lol and i thought my Maxis Surfmore 75 was good It is if you make very little calls - the call rates are expensive for that plan. Anyways, I've never complained about their measly 3GB for RM128 till now, but the double standards is just absolutely the last straw. I've been actively trolling them all weekend https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3893221This post has been edited by attw: Mar 13 2016, 10:19 PM

I've been actively trolling them all weekend https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3893221My monthly bills average around RM100+. Looking at the East Malaysia plans, I subscribe to MaxisOne 98 so good can get 7GB, heck I might even subscribe to the MaxisOne 128 can get 9GB. Can see actually Maxis plan was to lure East Malaysians to subscribe, but instead backfiring on them by West Malaysians

Well, I'm on contract and won't be going anywhere but I hope those who aren't and threatened on social media to port out really did so... Otherwise they will continue to play us for fools...

QUOTE(attw @ Mar 12 2016, 05:21 PM) Well, firstly, my apologies if this is slightly out of topic, but I'm trying to gather as many disgruntled maxis customers (especially if your contract is nearly or already over) to let your feelings be known to maxis about their recently introduced plan especially for East Malaysians. http://www.lowyat.net/2016/97911/maxis-now...-for-rm68month/There's also a couple of threads in the Maxis Telco thread with regards to this: - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=79074716https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3890167Do leave some comments (civilized ones only, of course) if you feel inclined to. I'm still under contract for another 18 months or so having signed up during the 6S Plus launch, so I know I'm screwed, ha ha ha... But hopefully this will help others who are considering maxis. I'm definitely porting out once my contracts end. I choose sucky service over lack of integrity at any given moment. Yes , add me in. Im freaking fed up with Maxis. Had the urge to pay penalty straight and go DiGi

QUOTE(hown @ Mar 14 2016, 10:42 PM) Yes , add me in. Im freaking fed up with Maxis. Had the urge to pay penalty straight and go DiGi I just sent them a PM enquiring about my penalty. Celcom's RM80 promo is until the end of this month only, so if I find that I can recover the penalty in savings from switching to another telco then I'll do it. Even if their coverage or service isn't as good as maxis, I can't be bothered. Hate double standards.

Maxis just called me to offer a similar plan - 5gb, unlimited calls n sms. Price is $78 after lifetime rebate $20. Anyone got such a call? Is it legit?
I'm quite happy with my current surfmore $50 plan. So, told the person I would think about it.

It's pretty much legit but if your monthly usage isn't that much then it's pointless. But it's a good deal, though I'm wondering why it's 78 when most others got offered it at 68.

The person did say for selected customers only and I didn't attempt to port out. Oh well, I'm not as keen.

I just signed up the East Malaysia RM68 Plan which come with 5GB of Quota + unlimited call ETC, but as i see from here i tend to worry when i go KL by this month end as i study there tho. My plan will be recap to 1GB of quota :tear:
I verify with Maxis customer care and the centre people they said they i will still get 5GB of quota but i just dont get the unlimited night surfing which is not a big deal to me. Anyone can clarify this?

Anyone can clarify this? I can confirm that you'll be able to use all 5GB data anywhere in Malaysia but not the unlimited midnight surfing data. Since you'll be studying in West Malaysia very soon. There are a few things you should take note on. As you know, this MaxisONE Plan Sabah/Sarawak is designed specially for those residing in East Malaysia. There are a certain very important T&C many people are not aware of. For instance, Maxis will monitor your usage and 70% of your calls and SMS have to originate from East Malaysia over a 3 months period. As for the data, 50% of your data usage has to originate from East Malaysia too over a 3 months period. Failing which Maxis can change your postpaid plan from MaxisONE Plan Sabah Sarawak 68 to the standard plan which is MaxisONE Plan 98.

As what you said so like this mean i got cheated by maxis for signing up that particular plan, i have not been told that my plan will be upgrade to 98 that i need to pay the additional RM30 monthly. I thought i sign up 68+96 monthly i just pay for what i sign?

I thought i sign up 68+96 monthly i just pay for what i sign? Technically they didn't cheat you. Just that most people won't bother to read the fine prints when signing up for something. As mentioned early, this MaxisONE plan Sabah/Sarawak promotion is strictly for East Malaysia residents only. Despite the backlash when this plan was first launched back in March, Maxis has been very firm on their stand regarding this MaxisONE plan Sabah/Sarawak promotion. It is true that you only need to pay RM68 + 6% GST. However, if your unlimited calls/SMS and data usage originate mostly from West Malaysia, they will consider that as an abuse and they will change your plan to the standard MaxisONE plan 98 because from the very beginning, this MaxisONE plan Sabah/Sarawak is meant for those who stay in East Malaysia only.

I did read all the things before signing up, upon signing up i did double check with the staff and what they said is i will just lost the entitlement for unlimited night surfing thats it. Apart from that, they shouldnt be so racist (not to say this but i dont know what word should i replace with) we sign up for contract for 2years we should be paying for what we sign. But well haihh.
