Hi guys. I have iphone iphone 6s from maxis.but the signal only showing 4g and not lte. Anyone have this issue?

4G is LTE now. It doesn't show LTE anymore since a carrier update sometime back.

Same difference. It's basically the telco's choice on calling it 4G or LTE...

the maxis one diagram shown on the first page shows that there is zero upfront payment for iphone... still valid?

i checked the maxis website and the way the diagram is show is quite vague...

Im hotlink user with plan "Bagus WM". Im no so familiar with the plan.. I think I stick with this plan more than 10 years maybe.. Because I cant find this plan on their site..

Since I just upgrade my sim card which have ability to connect to 4G/LTE..

The question is, do I need to upgrade to "Hotlink Fast Plan" to enjoy 4G connection?

Because right now the carrier shows 4G when Im in 4G region and from what I observed, there is no obvious different when connect to 4G compare to 3G

How much to change microsim to nanosim?

I change before this they charged me RM10.. But they give back RM5 topup..

Usually if you are a postpaid customer and have good payment record, they will waive the upfront payment for a regular contract. However, if you are talking about the Maxis Zerolution Plan, then there is definitely no upfront payment - just a monthly commitment for the device + the plan of your choice. And I am pretty sure they can let you keep your prepaid number and switch it to postpaid.

Do a speedtest with and without 4G enabled and you should be able to see a difference.

That doesn't look like 4G speed to me, the download speed is worse than that of 3G. You may need to check in a different area with 4G signal, but if the results are the same then give maxis a call and see what is their feedback.

Im using Maxis One Plan 128.. every month so expensive... feel like changing to this Digi plan

No additional payment - just slower speed when exceed your quota.

I feel you bro. Am on the same plan. Now Celcom has a 5GB + 5GB plan with unlimited calls and texts for RM80/month only.... @#$%^&*....

Hmm. I just converted to surfmore 50 after my iPhone plan ended. It was such a quick and smooth change.

Other providers seems better. But so far, maxis coverage works well for me at home and work. I'm afraid to try other telco.

Yes, same here. My cousin just switched from Maxis to U Mobile (the RM70 plan for 7GB data one) and she's complaining that she got ripped off coz although in the coverage map it showed that her house area has 4G in reality she is now only getting 3G.

Umobile coverage is just ok around this area. I have the prepaid version. Cheap but not necessarily reliable. Some area the speed is crawling but with my maxis, it's great.

But lately, I noticed Maxis dropping to 3G frequently. I also noticed when my unifi is intermittently down, then Maxis is also down to 3G and starts crawling. Happens quite often esp the last few weeks. Are they linked (leasing the lines, etc)?
