Service tiptop. I went there last time to change cvt fluid, air filter, valve cover gasket, engine oil&filter change and replace fuel filter. Rm550+-

But one thing, weekend to many people. Better leave the car and comeback when its done

Hi guys

My abs light is on since yesterday. But when i restart the engine the abs light is off and will on back at random time while driving.

So warranty already over many months ago, i clean the abs sensor myself ( it is not much dirt anyway) . I drive to test the car and abs light still on. But this time I try to jam the brake all the way and car never skids ( i did for 3 times to confirm ) which means abs still work while the light is on .

So i scan my obd reader and these 3 fault codes comes out

U1017 - no data online, maybe it is Proton specific code, most likely is the ABS code
P005E - Boost controller low voltage ( thats explain my sky high fc, 13.2l/100km )
P1401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve

Yea abs second time. First time was on 28000km+- Now 68000km
Hopefully only sensor problem, cheap to replace

Tmr will go workshop and hook up with their more sophisticated ecu scanner for more detail of the error code

What weird is so far no Check Engine Light on, maybe the error code not too serious problem?? But my FC is so bad

No lah, go to workshop near my home area only. I only go zordaq if wants to do major stuff related to cfe/cvt
Trying to diagnose ecu and settle the abs first, maybe the abs pump need to bleed out air

P005D also i hav last time, but now its gone already.
So no wonder la no Check Engine Light on, so no need to worry about other code already. I believe in proton obd more
My emission readiness also 3 items incomplete. There is a way to make it all complete. You must drive follow certain conditions set by the manufacturer



This week very bad luck with my EB, this morning i want to reverse but the CVT light is on for the first time. The car will not move as if it is still in Neutral

You can diy to clean the abs sensor first. Very easy. Just remove the wheel and you will see one wire that lead to the sensor. Remove the sensor by undo the one and only 10mm bolt. Clean the dirt on the sensor and install everything back.

My abs light gone after two days driving after cleaning the sensor. So many dirt.

Buy one of these bro! Can get as low as rm30 online. You able to read your ecu parameter and generic error code.


Also can scan ecu at shop, normally rm30 per scan which is quite expensive

I use isopropyl alcohol, other cleaner also can. Just wipe normally until clean

Cancel fast2. Cfe(exora bold, preve, suprima) engine prone to engine oil burst and leak due to fail design of oil cooling hose.

Any owner or potential owner can join fb group name ' (Proton) cfe & cvt technical discussion'. Almost everyday got post engine bocor.

I myself kena at 48000km, 1 and half year ago. Till this date, proton didnt come out with any solution.

The cost to replace this oil cooler is rm700++ incl installation. Proton so far suggest to change every 40,000km. What the hell? It shouldn't be wear and tear part.

When the hose burst during driving the car, you wont notice until the engine sounds rough and got white smoke. By that time its too late coz your engine already wear from the inside.

Like my exora bold right now, after fix the oil cooler my engine already sounds almost like lorry-diesel engine (yes that bad, and proton dont even entertain my complaint and say its normal) coz engine internal already worn. If i kena the second time, confirm need to do full overhaul job

It burst when it want to burst. No symptoms.

For some cases if lucky you can see the oil hose cooler already covered in oil, then need to replace before it burst. Oil cooler located near the alternator and engine oil filter. You cant see from the top. Need to crawl down under the car. And the particular hose that burst cannot be seen from below, need to use mirror or camera because the hose is located on the upper side of the oil cooler.

One user share his story. His oil hose burst, sent to SC to replace the hose. After 2 days it burst again.

It is very unpredictable. Some owner already more than 100, 000 km but havent burst yet. New owner 20,000km also ada yang kena

How to avoid?
So far no permanent solution yet. Some owner already change to hydraulic hose, some already change to aftermarket oil cooler.
