engine oil seems fine. not noticeable.
ya, cfe seems got same problem like cps.
need to change gasket and seal engine top.

Proton is changing my Exora CFE"s CVT GEARBOX to a new one.they said there is a major problem it seems.but my car works just fine.so sending it in next week Monday for 26k service and gb change.hmmmmm

what major problem that their mean? any clue?

I have no idea.they called my brother and told them that parts arrived.so just send in the car and they will change the gearbox.something because cvt light came on too many times and they said something wrong with the gb. Why proton..why..i hope the car will be ok..

where you buy it? mind to share? do you install the 12v dc at back?

Proton service center or accessory shop oso can find the boot lamp, wiring find from inside. Wanted to install 12V socket oso but yet to find the solution, would appreciate if any 1 here done it on their standard bold and can share here too.

Hi Dear Exora Owners, my friend offered me a second hand Exora, I'm quite interested in buying it, however there's one issue that I'm not sure about the car.

During start up, the engine will be loud, and can be heard throughout the drive. There is also a rhythm of chocking sound during drive, maybe it is the turbo sound?

Is it Exora CFE or CPS?
What is the service record?
How old the car, and mileage?

Suggest you test drive another unit to compare.

EB engine is loud but not harsh, and there is considerable amount of cabin noise, mainly from CVT whirring or humming sound. Another loud noise would come from the radiator fan, but it is barely noticeable inside the car compared to CVT sound.

Turbo sound is like whistle, and it comes and goes as you press the throttle.
Choking rhythm? Can you describe it?

CFE, almost 2 years I think. The choking can be felt from the engine, hard to describe, but from your experience with Exora, everything is smooth from the engine?

Well, when you release throttle, it will jerk a bit.
As you press it down, it's fine.

Go youtube and look for Exora\Suprima\Preve CFE videos and you'll see.

Yes when release will jerk abit..but mine accerating time the engine will pull back.like struggling to go fast.
