hmmm. how long did u all take to load? for some reason i'm taking abt 5min to load into the game. after the charactor selection screen, a now loading screen will appear and i will load for abt 5min. super long. my fren only load for abt 10sec??? why?

Be sure to check all the streamyx IP that u can get in your area..

currently was pretty good, connection allow me to at least play at nite time (instead of early morning last time), so i must say, hope they keep it up.

Level 41 now, and working slowly to 50 now, hope to change my armor in 2 week times. All the best to the other.

Ps : if you achieve level 35 above, get a good team and train at mines dungeon, is fast exp and fast jp, not to mention the great items you can get from all the bosses level mobs in the dungeon.

I'm on ip 60.xxx now and no lag and pretty good connection although last nite tortus server had a few problems. In a good guild that groups alot and do things as a group every evening. Guild link is below. Its not about the grind its about the grouping in this game

for this particular game i felt using ip 60.49 is best for smooth gameplay with no lag.... 218.111 ip experience alot of lag spikes. so just switch to get 60.49

err.. may i ask how you guys switch the ip? I am a noob in networking lol

I got caught up with my freelance tasks, open houses and whatnot. All I did that's Rappelz-related was that I'd updated the client at launch day ~>.<~... *sigh*..need to see whether my Gaia guy's there or not.

Anyway, I spruced up the 1st post again. Removed what's by now unnecessary details, updated the game client dl links, added a 'scroll down to read reviews' part for prospective players and reedited the FAQs links.

My question right now is.. which is the most active Malaysian/LYN-related Rappelz guild here in any servers? Would I be allowed to list the specifics for recruitments' drives or is there a need to? Let me know OK?

If there's any plans for guild merges or anything, that'd be most suitable to really update the 1st post with a proper player list. I'd be looking at posts again later today to for a list down anyways.

The link below shows the guild I am in with an active forum in the guild members section mostly which are for those in the guild. Base of clients are from Malaysia, Singapore,Australia but we have a few Euros and American players.

We actively group at night regularly killing Lost Child, Half Wing and another rooster mob for the life of me I can't spell. Most of the guildies are in their 20's now with the highest at 33. We are not hardcore players but we group alot and will slowly be progressing to dungeons. Most players have experince in MMORPG from everquest, guildwars, WOW etc. Note you must be 18 and above but special consent can be made after discussion with Nenime the guild leader

Link below is my guild, very active guilds with active hardcore players from Tortus server. People base in many region around the world, cause the guilds itself are based more on hardcore that regional factor. Most players are active 24 hours and now almost half of the members in guild are station in the dungeon grinding. Average level of players are 35 with the highest 53 (Already more than 5 players in guild achieving 50 mark).

We do have some casual players which care less on grind, like me (still hanging on level 41), but everyone seem to be progressing well, and helping each other, especially for dungeon grinding that prove to give lot more exp that expected.

We also got an extending guild in Yeti, Symphonia. That all for now... cya...

1st post changelogs:
1. realigned several texts and resized some to the smallest scale for better layouts and readability.

2. changed the 3rd ss to let prospects view an example of the awesome Rappelz' pets.

3. updated and added guilds' list & info section. Prospects can view highlights in purple texts for faster reads. Figured that guild members' posted descriptions says best than what I can shorten out.

4. scanned through all posts for possible materials for the 1st page and noticed dualshock's request for a players' list. Thank you for reminding me and with no time wasted i had it done. But as all of you can see, there's a few missing pieces of information but I'm sure I'll be able to gather the needed data when people gets to repost any newer main chars' deets & such.

-P.S:- I understand about guilds' 'confidentiality' or whatever, but I'd highly suggest that ALL LYN Rappelz players move to Tortus? Easier for people to help out and I think they can cater for the guild-less as well. We're all Malaysians mostly anyways

I was wandering where can i find a place to download the client with good speed? I hate to download with 10kb/s

u can try download.com ftp server...this server gave me >100kb/s, and im using tunder5 not other download programs...this thunder5 is a china download software...

try to go to ur browser and type 192.168.1.1 or 10.1.1.1 for accessing da modem page, and then click disconnect and the connect again, u will get different ip then, or the easiest way is off ur modem and on it back...haha...hope this will help u a bit..

thunder5 eh? Sounds like a really interesting download manager to try. Care to share the dl links for that and is there any English version of it?

Speaking of IP changes, on my side of things, I seem to be suffering more of a client-side lag when getting back to the training camp or any zones with loads of players. 512megs of RAM is really the bare minimum for Rappelz...*sigh* Maybe I should really rethink my end of year shopping priorities heheh

AngelSlayer , You're really a life saver. I finally get a decent speed downloading the client. Screw those other download servers.
Anyway I never really tried any software by China yet , I'm still using my good ol' Flashget to get the job done. But i might give tunder5 a try maybee.

Man sometimes I'm just soo sick of these scammers trying to scam free items from n00b players. They should change the shop system to that newbies wont' be conned by these idiots. Seriously they're acting like beggars asking for free chips and all.

The lagging is kinda getting serious nowadays especially in the midnite (Malaysia time). I am not sure if i am the only one, cause lot had been complaining too.

ive been trying to login and trying to kill my last rocky for my class transfer quest for over a week...what do u think about the lag??

Well i posted this on the official forum, so i guess no harm posting a copy here for other reference.

Well i am not any expert in dealing with lag in gaming, or know anything about lag. All i do is practically trying to see what affected the lag when i am having such delay and lagness in game.

First, i can play the game well at certain time or period, no lag, smooth and everything works great accordingly. So if you happen to lag all the time from the first day you start playing (after trying out playing this game at different hours), then it should be the computer problem, either the ram is not enough or the graphic card is not good enough for the game.

If you are like me, the game are smooth at certain times and might lag at certain time, then start to log off and restart your pc (Close you computer system, logout and start back your computer, not restarting the comp). I am not sure how much this is true but people say this is due to memory leak and this is how you need to deal with it. I had no idea the logic out of it, but honestly, it does help. The gameplay is somehow, become much smooth and lag free.

Now if restarting couldn't help to take off the lag, now try ask everyone around (guilds buddy) if they are having any lag. If most of them say is laggy, cant move at all, frame by frame, delay and die of lag, then is the server problem, so either you log off to go do something else (cause we do not want to be frustrated over the lagging issue), and log back later. Note that there is people who didnt lag somehow, while the other was laggin, most probably because of the effect of area to the server. I am not sure of this, but this the only explaination i hear from people. Obviously, those from asia might experience more lag from those who are just living around the game server area (Not totally true but just an assumption on how some people lag and some people not).

But there is time, that most of your guild buddy told you there isnt any lag at all, so what i suggest is start calling or msg some of your frens from the same area, see if they got this lagness, and if they say yes, this mean it was your local broadband problem, either there is a maintenance going on, or the is some sort of disturbance, so this you cant do much accept login in a report to the local broadband provider to ask them to solve the issue at the area and wait or log in back a few hours later to see the issue.

But if your friends say nope, there is no lag at all, that means you are the only one experiencing lagness. So running down the conclusion till here

1) Not because of you pc spec
2) Not because of memory leak (or what people called this term)
3) Not because of server problem
4) Not because of your local connection

This simply mean, Rappelz indicate that you need to get some rest there, try get some sleep and once you wake up, thing will start to get better. If its not, log in a report to the dev team (Although i am not sure how they are going to help you considering lot of the other was having the same problem), but at least no harm trying.

From all i did, there is point that i reach No (4) too and when this happen, i simply go rest or doing something else, until i log back in to see that everything is fine again. No point complaining so much, there is just too many factor contributing to lagness, they cant simply come to your pc just to monitor and solve the lagness problem for you. Just stay cool, then everything will be fine.

Note : If you ever play this game smoothly without lag, then you start getting lag, that is not your pc spec problem. IF your spec is far above their min requirement, and you never play this game smoothly, try all the above and all fail, try log in a report see if how they might help.
