Went DirectD with a friend earlier this afternoon and got a 64gb black for RM1299 (so expensive).

Removed all previous colorOS rubbish and clean wipe/install the phone now running on latest update and everything with bootloader unlocked etc.

I have one question, my Int. version under settings shows I have 2883MB of memory but my friend's china version has 2884 MB.

Tho this does not concerns me a lot but was wondering why the differences =/
*
349 usd is RM 1180.
They sell RM 1299. Profit RM 119.

I think reasonable. If u order from international version and go trough all the stuff. Might be more expensive.

I'm not sure it's placebo or not. But I feel my phone more responsive when using Holo theme (unthemed)

Please help me so that the seller didnt con me biggrin.gif

Thanks.

Lol... The 2nd hand unit 99% got yellow tint la. If not why the seller wana sell. U might as well top up RM 299 get a new one. At least chance of yellow tint lower.

True. For a 4 month set market price around rm800 is fair not rm1000. BTW my unit is very good without any yellow tint
*
At first I thought mine dun have yellow tint.
It's hard to see with naked eye. Only way I notice it is turn off nav bar
Open chrome start page which is white. Put in landscape mode. Directly compare left edge with right edge. The right edge (bottom) is ever so slightly yellow the the left edge.

But if I on nav bar then it's totally covered by it.

Here is your solution:
Settings > Display & Lights > Adaptive backlight (Untick this shYt)

Go try again and put max 100% Brightness. Yellow Full Screen are Gone.
*
I have this on, it's suppose to save battery. No yellow tint for me.

pick the winner--in terms of overall usage

1. note 4 vs 1+1

2. lg g2 pro vs 1+1
its ok if note 4 or lg g2 pro wins

Camera shots are decent and won't say is class leading vs say ip6 or Note4. Is sufficiently good enough for my use - sharing n posting in FB n whatsapp. I am using CM11S camera in my CM12 firmware. Camera shutterspeed is not instant like the other 2 phones. It takes about a second under to snap.
*
Shutter speed is instant. It has zero shutter lag.
The delay is because default focus mode is auto.

Once u press shutter it refocus before capture. There is a delay. But lower chance of unfocused shot

IPhone and Galaxy phones default focus mode is continuous auto focus. Even if pic is out of focus, when u press shutter it don't care and straight capture.

I'm very certain about this. Go try again.
With continuous focus mode it will always refocus when the viewfinder is moved.

For auto mode it wont refocus. It only focus when u press shutter.

I prefer auto mode. Less chance of unfocused image. Xperia phones has auto mode as default too.

hmm.gif  is it so? then i shall try to charge with both ori charger and cable.. btw i am using adapter for the ori charger. just notice xiaomi pb is 2.1A output vs opo charger 2.0A output..  doh.gif  and also the xiaomi cable is way shorter than opo cable so that might be a reason too  doh.gif
*
The ori cable is inconsistent.
Sometimes it charges quickly sometimes slowly.
Twice I woke up and my phone didn't full charge. Same case when I use the ori cable to charge xiaomi power bank.

The ori adapter is fine though.

I gave up on the original cable. Using my old Samsung cable instead.

All my phones I had never bother to use the supplied charger/cables ( except Find 7 with its fast VOCC charger) . I use the ipad 2.1A USB charger and it works very well on all my phones
*
IPad 4 and IPad air charger is 5.2V 2.4A. Much higher than what OPO uses 5V 2A.

Not good to use for long term. Sure phones have built in circuit to prevent over charge. But it will be warmer during charging. And certainly not good for its battery in the long term.

You might not notice since u change phone so often.

But for those who use their phone as long term daily driver, use stock adapter, or another adapter that has same Voltage and current output.

wow, Rumor already on Oneplus Two, yet OnePlus One has not yet officially set foot in Malaysia, i fear when i buy OnePlus One then One Plus Two release in few months time.
*
very funny. when 1+2 announce, it will take another 6-7 months before it hit malaysia shores. priority will be given to those top countries in their list.

take xiaomi for example, mi3 announce more than half a year only on sale in malaysia. mi 4 announce long ago. still not for sale in malaysia yet.

They are busy quarreling.

They promise 90 days anyway. They will continue with cm12 nightly. And whatever last nightly they have at the end of January. They'll slap a stable tag and push it to our phones.

Just be patient. How is xposed doing? Support lollipop already?
I'm in no hurry to update. Everything is awesome for me in kitkat currently.

hey guys, anyone tried recording video during concert? I was using my OPO and when I try to playback, can't hear music but like "burst bass sound" (cantonese: bao seng).

When I try to video record normal conversation, it's OK. Can hear people talking and everything is fine. Just when during concert can't hear the sound at all, only "burst sound" like bom bom bom bom bom.

Tried using PC to playback also same.

Something wrong with my mic ke?
*
Video recording sucks on this phone.

The mic is mediocre. I once saw a comparison video between oneplus and z3 concert recording. Oneplus sound is horrible. Z3 sound great. Another problem is for oneplus if use stock cam it doesn't do continuous auto focus. Need tap yourself to focus. And if u use 3rd party cam, continuous auto focus is too aggressive.

Overall hard to get good video recording.
Using stock setting, I get quite high noise level.

Every once in a while when the OnePlus camera quality is questioned. Someone like you will post an awesome looking shot to prove otherwise.

Well truth is. It's not good enough compared to pricey flagship devices. Yes the price is cheaper. But can't deny the camera quality is not 2014 flagship quality. Don't care the reason is software or hardware.

Average consumer don't want to capture raw and waste time editing it. The phone itself should do good auto editing,no excuses.
