Yup, I know.

My main target is international 64GB version.
Since OnePlus is coming to setup an office here, so I assume international set can be shipped to Malaysia in future.
By that time, only I upgrade to 64GB.
At the meantime, I'll just buy a 2nd hand 16GB to test water first.
Haha, how's my plan?
*
hm...need to wait so long and go through so many hoops.
rather just buy one china model and be happy with it.

there is absolutely no confirmation about when are they setting up in malaysia.
it could be anywhere between 2-6 months.

besides, if really do setup sometime in december, you need to beg for invite also.

How many of you guys own a 16gb opo? I just bought a unit from DialogHub. will arrive today yeah xD
*
16gb too small. Since the price already quite cheap. Might as well get 64gb one and have leave of mind.

Notification toast? I see the language settings all in English. Maybe some bugs?
I bought from DialogHub. I lived in sungai petani Kedah so obviously I can't go to DialogHub just to get the phone. Therefore I use courier . they send the phone to me by PosLaju.  And PosLaju is always fast. DialogHub will send out all before 3pm ( means u have to settle payment before 3). The next day you can get your unit already. Mostly all the sellers use PosLaju. Very fast.

Theur packaging was good but not thick enough. And if u still afraid don't worry as oneplus one box are thick and hard. So ur phone will be safe. They sent to me a receipt with wrongly printed information. Therefore they will send the receipt again to me asap. Very responsible and fast. Got a lot of staff so can contact whoever you wants. Overall I would recommend to go to them again next time. Just the problem now is transport for me. Have to travel far to find them if wan claim warranty coz I live in kedah

i google search for them and found their page in lelong. in their lelong page got GPS cordinate.
put in google map and check streetview, is this dialoghub?

they are very close to directD, walking distance

In fact, everyone is with OPO is getting min 5hrs of SOT, and average is 6hrs. Some even had stretched out to 8hrs and above. I believe it lies down to what your usage is how your tweak the phone. But nontheless, this phone really rocks.
*
for me i average on 5 hour. max stretch is 6 hours.

those that get 8hours must be super low brightness and watch video all the time.

I was previously considering the Find 7 vs this Opo phone. But than I chose Find 7 as it supports ext SDcard and its quick VOCC charging was attractive. However Find 7 2K display was a great battery drainer and I gave it up after a month of usage. I was struggling with 3-3.5 hours of SOT only. Than I was in Europe ( Paris/London) and I was using the phone quite heavily . I gave up after a week and the remaining 2 weeks I went back to my LG G Pro2 whose battery life more than double it. The Note 4 also with 2K display is way much better than the Oppo Find7 easily doubling it

Based on several reviews I had read I think this Opo phone battery life will be much better as it is just a normal 1080p display. I'd be happy if I can get 5-6 hours SOT

Camera for Oppo Find 7 is great only on its default ColorOS firmware. Once you switch to CM11 or other custom roms you will lose the default camera
I will update the differences between the two when I get my Opo
*
i came from note 3. and oneplus battery is definitely better than note 3.
on note 3 i use manual brightness about 20% it's good enough for me.
the auto brightness is totally useless because it's slow and not sensitive, always wrong level.

but oneplus auto brightness is excellent. it's always bright and comfortable to use.
i left mine at auto since i bought it.

with auto brightness keeping a brighter and comfortable level, i still get higher SOT and better standby time.
i went to sleep and left my phone idle for 6.5 hours, and woke with 100%. sometimes i woke with 99%.
i'm very very impressed with it's standby time.

Great update from you guys on this phone SOT.
As long as I can get 5-6 hours is good enough for my needs
To date best SOT I had experienced is 12-14 hours ( mediapad X1), Mate 7 ( 9-10 hours), LG G Pro2 (7-8 he's) n Note4 (6-7 hours).
*
if you consider tablet as well, since you mention media pad
best SOT i got is from ipad air.

insanely good battery life. i charged it yesterday after so long, it left with 10% after
8 days 1 hour of usage with 14 hours usage time (i think it should translate to SOT)

Thanks. If I had digested what I read correctly, there are 2 iterations for this phone, one a China set, the other, International. Is that correct? The former comes with ColorOS and the latter, CM. As such, presently available is which please? TQ.
*
if you buy from local reseller, they sell china set, original is color OS, but they help flash to cm11s before selling to you.

after flash cm11s they are identical in every way.
only difference is got 2 LTE band is unusable in US. in malaysia no problem all LTE band works. so no problem

I easily got 7 hours SOT, with 24 hours off charger without any tweaks(i went to stock except root and greenify). and still have 20% left.

Cuz, i tweaked and tweaked, i always got around 7-8 hours of SOT so thats enough reason to get back to stock settings. actually 5 hours SOT is more than enough for me in everyday use. biggrin.gif more than that, i either didnt charge my phone, or i have no work to do.. haha

Stock CM kernel is honestly quite good. biggrin.gif except for 44S, i had random reboots, sometimes. I think 38R was the most stable, but touch sensitivity is better on the latest one.
*
i use 44S and no random reboot even once since i started using.
as for battery, every one has the same capacity, the SOT you get depends on your apps installed and usage pattern.

by any mean, is there anybody here own Oneplus One and Note 4? how is the performance, battery life gap between these 2 smartphone in your real life? Note4 for rm1999 kinda attract my attention..
*
If you have the money, and don't know what is cyanogenmod.
Buy note 4. You won't regret it.

There are many compromise to own the one plus. But the most positive part is the price. It's very very worth the money for the product it deliver. Many benefit of one plus only attract enthusiasts, normal user won't appreciate it at all.

One plus camera is good but it's nowhere compared to note 4 camera. It have deep trouble focusing on close and small object. Video recording doesn't have auto focus. If use 3rd party camera, auto focus kicks in too often spoiling the video. Hdr always end up too warm and takes time to process. One note 4 have instant hdr, and optical stabilization too.

Vibration on oneplus is a cheap model. The vibration is decently strong but the sound it makes when vibrating is the loudest I've heard. Place it on the table and it makes very loud noise. I duno how the vibration works on note 4. But based on my previous Samsung device. Their vibration is strong and not so noisy.

Oneplus Don't have s pen. You need to go through many steps to be able to draw on a screenshot. Oneplus will always lack this hardware feature.

No infrared blaster. Means no remote control. With 3rd party app, note 4 can control any TV, Fan, air con etc. Some really convenient and cool.

Bigger storage. 32gb internal and SD card support

Based on browsing test by phone arena, note 4 battery life is superior by a wide margin.

Amoled screen will impress any normal people. In forum people will condemn amoled say it's not accurate. But in real life every one I know love bright and vibrant screen.

Samsung branding. U using note 4 at least for a year people will know you are rich and using the most expensive and best phone available currently. One plus will forever remain unknown, some may confuse it with oppo and one fella even ask if mine is a China phone. Haiz.

Slow charging. One plus takes 2 hours from zero to 100. About 1% a minute from 0-90% and another 30 mins from 0%-100%. Note 4 got quick charging.

Accessories. One plus is non existent. Only can buy online. Even so choices are limited. About 10 available type only. Nilkin, diztronic, cruzerlite, tudia, unbranded tpu, Imax, ori one plus flip case and hard case. For Samsung. Every where also got case. Should have more than hundred variants of cases.

Overall my choice is oneplus. I don't regret using it. Because the price and my preference for aosp style rom outweighs all the cons. But if price is not a problem for u, and you don't fancy cyanogenmod, then go buy the note 4.

Note, this is just my own opinion. Your experience may vary.

just be happy with the current OnePlus One right now. dont be worried about future. If the next One Plus (Two?) didnt come with CM, i will obviously pass~ and look for other options. easy as that.

in the mean time, nothing happens to our current phones. use it to the max, and live life to the fullest. haha!
*
Reason I buy oneplus is because it ships with a near stock aosp rom. I don't need to flash a hacked rom into it.

When using cm or any aosp roms on other oem phones, sure will have something not working or some bug. I hate to deal with those.

If oneplus ships with any aosp rom like slimkat or paranoid android I'll support as well, as long it is the stock rom and bug free.

I have no particular bias for cyanogenmod. All I want is a close to stock aosp rom that is BUG FREE.

Don't give a shit if cm is not the stock rom. If the price is cheap and have any other stable bug free aosp rom as the default rom with future Ota updates, it's a win for me.

Pickup my 64gb Sandstone from DialogHub this morning. First time at their shop - what a dreary place!
Rooted the phone an hour ago n now restoring app from Titanium Backup. Process is so much slower vs my previous Androids. I copy the TB folder over to internal memory. Ex phones about 30 mins n now already an hour still restoring at 80+%
How do we know phone is having latest CM11s v44? I can't see this in about phone?
Unlike what you guys has been preaching I don't find the phone that super smooth. Is comparable to my Mate7 n ex LG G Pro2. I would say the Find7 n Note4 is marginally smoother than it. I did a factory reset first before root.
*
In about phone. Check cyanogenmod version.

If you're using the phone while it's restoring titanium backup. Surely it will be sluggish. Wait for it to finish restore.

hey guys i have a serious problem. i just noticed when i try to use the camera it says "Insert an SD card before using the camera". Any ideas? It seems OPO is giving quite some problems.
*
I also feel funny this thread full with so many weird issues. But touch wood I'm a happy user with no weird issues so far. Probably using stock rom & kernel & theme has the least issue.

If after a reboot still same,

Go to settings apps under all tabs look for your camera. And clear data for it.

Switch on your "PERFORMANCE MODE" on your Profile. Vroom Vroom. laugh.gif Default is Balance Mode. Anyway, CM11s do have something missing when comparing to Pure Vanilla I'm using Years ago. (Nexus 4)

Don't do that. That is the most stupid profile. It keeps cpu at max all the time.

Thanks. So I will need to reflash to CM11s. All my time to restore data wasted. Will do it later tonight back in hotel.
I supposed a reflash will wipe clean all data??
*
Oh my... Pity you. Why DialogHub so noob flash u normal cm.
If u r using cm 11s. It will look like this in cm version. Latest is 44s.

U have to flash the factory image. It will erase ur custom recovery and wipe all data.

So sorry u have to go through all these crap.

Get some rest and continue tomorrow. You'll get a smooth running device after u reflash a factory image. Put twrp and root. Copy all your tb files. Wait for restore. Wipe cache n dalvic. You'll get a smooth running oneplus in the end.
