There is a lot of people actually complain in amazon forum, but it looks like if you have not completed a first purchase and lost ark not appear in your library , it will not preload.
I did "trick" steam into showing lost ark before, but when i relog into steam it will goes back to malaysia account and that will not work.

Which VPN you using, I find the free trial ExitLag is not working for me.
I used Windscribe to make it happen.

When preloading the game from steam, need to connect VPN.
After it is showing in your Library/download queue, pause the download then you can close your VPN.
Can use your own bandwidth to resume download.

I heard from my friend , RUS and KR have pay2win aspect in cash store.
KR mmo is grindy one la , BDO same same.
leveling is pretty fast i would say , the main story will bring you to lv50 in no time.

did you open a new steam account or making purchase to change your region?

Exitag user here, what I did was connect to germany vpn for browser and steam. Then I made a new steam account and log in on steam. However even with vpn steam still can detect that im from malaysia for some reason. Now this is what I did.
1. Go to the store and add any item to your cart, then proceed to checkout. Do not pay anything.

2. At the checkout there is an option for me to select my country between malaysia and germany. I set it to germany, cancelled the checkout.

3. Now my steam is all in euros and I can search for lost ark amd download it.

I am still not sure if vpn is needed for playing the game or not. Also when I log into my main steam account I can also see lost ark on there

Btw anyone planning to start on eu? If not many sea community then might start on NA, but ping is gonna be higher

Yea, I opened a new US account.
Don't wanna risk my main account being ban for whatever reason.
Had a bit of hiccup when creating Steam account cause it detect my VPN.

These are the step I took:
1. start VPN, select US as the location.
2. create a new account at Steam website using new email, it should auto detect location as US.
3. when submitting the request, it will show VPN detected. stop VPN and submit again.
4. after the verification email is sent, START VPN again (US).
5. IMPORTANT!! ensure VPN is on when you verify the new account.
6. your new Steam account is now based in US. Steam Store shows $ pricing.
7. login to Steam app, search Lost Ark, pre-load. MUST BE DONE WITH VPN ON.
8. once it start to download, you can pause, off VPN and proceed download after.

This is how I managed to pre load yesterday night.
As I mentioned, I initially used ExitLag free trial but it doesn't work.
Windscribe did the trick for me, you could try with your own VPN 1st and see.

is EU better ping? cause it seems like lots of SEA players are heading NA West.

even wolcen is better in terms of gameplay.

It depends i guess , some having good ping in EU, but NA west definitely will have more ppl online at GMT+8 hours because PH / SG / APAC region. It varies.

I have a character in Valtan (NA West), but starting fresh one with friends in Akkan (NA West).

100% EU will have better ping compare to NA. But majority of sea/oce are going to na.

i mean, the ping in NA is not dealbreaker since tons of people playing NA west too.

i just used a random vpn from the chrome store... called touch vpn

for those who cant download at steam after pressing play

- use full vpn
- change to NA region
- login steam, go lost ark, press play and have the game log into your library
- exit vpn
- relogin to steam, complete the download

i use mudfish vpn
