Sony very clever this time, they unmount system partition startup everytime in the kernel level, make it not possible to push root files inside even found some exploits.

I think the root exploit is confirmed found.
The dev need collect all kallsyms from the z3 and z3c variants, and create tools for us.

The root method should be only work with the oldest firmware, so expect for a downgrade and wipe data.

Anyone tried to root / success yet?
With our Malaysia D6653.

I already get ready everything to root my D6653 except the root tool (seems it do not works with D6653 yet) and do not downgrade to .93 yet because the root tool.


I am uploading the Malaysia latest ftf to my dropbox, and also created the recovery zip to the Malaysia latest version (.77) with root and recovery.

Will start rooting mine when root tool ready, and update the tutorial at 2nd post.

You have no need use Malaysian version for rooting.
You will replace the firmware ASAP lol.
Any generic .93 will do.
