QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Mar 18 2015, 09:25 AM) Yup.Before this, some peoples flashed other version to root, because they cannot found their own version. And i guess there is nothing different in hardware term for D6603 and D6653. The only different is different bands. And Qualcomm has all LTE bands supported. Different firmware unlock different bands only. So flashing D6603 may not giving any side effect for Malaysian Telco, since we are using band 3 & 7, which included in D6603 too. |

QUOTE(RedDevils88 @ Mar 18 2015, 11:08 AM) yes rooting will void warranty. applies for all android devices, but you can just unroot and revert back to stock before sending for warranty. Root will void warranty.i just got the Z2 and after reading through XDA forums, i find that rooting on the z2 is a pain in the Ass But you can flash a clean firmware before send back to warranty. Root is easy now, it just waste you some hours of time. |

Seem like Sony has SELinux enforced after Lollipop version.
This mean future phones will have better security(good thing) but will even harder to exploit root. |

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Mar 20 2015, 10:25 AM) Sometimes there are a lot of fun to having root access, although i do not need it always too.Currently i am using xposed to disable SD protection, disable shutdown/restart in case my phone has been stolen or lost, i still have the last chance to chase it back thru myxperia app. Other functions like hiding the shortcuts that i do not use always. And the sound mod and stereo speaker for loudspeaker & ringtone is quite good. |

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Mar 20 2015, 10:53 AM) talking about Xposed modules, damn, i need that disable shutdown/restart. Advanced Power Menu+ (APM+)what was it labeled in the module? i need to fix one for my Z Ultra. It can delete the power menu, and replace a fake shutdown menu, which put your phone into screen off. Or you can set password for shutdown/restart. QUOTE(jasonchaw @ Mar 20 2015, 11:12 AM) I heard cerberus is quite nice. But Sony comes with myxperia & android device manager. QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Mar 20 2015, 01:22 PM) both will still be dead with a simple ftf flash. There should be no way to permanent lock unless manufacturers do something in the booloader/kernel side.Only if they implement IMEI detection and remote lock/brick. And thanks for the xposed module. At least this trick manages to get you few hours to find from the noobs. This post has been edited by wc_how: Mar 20 2015, 02:56 PM |

QUOTE(SouzaDE @ Mar 23 2015, 11:12 AM) Probably no difference.Maybe more or less LTE bands which will not related to our country. And the bloatwares. Some peoples success to flash D6603 firmware into D6633. And flash the modem driver to make the dual sims work. BTW, it has already one week but no update outside the Nordic countries. I feel it is weird, it usually get in other countries asap it started to release. Maybe a newer version is coming? This post has been edited by wc_how: Mar 23 2015, 11:25 AM |
