Helo Bros... my almari already 40km and im waiting for my major service at SC by next week. Rite now I can hear waving sound when entering 90km/j. I wonder is it the noise is from bearing?

Huh kereta baru setahun pun bearing problem?
*

Hi, anyone facing this issue?

Auto gear, car running around 50 to 60 km/h and rpm is around at 2 but having some "jit jit" sound from engine. Or sometimes even waiting for traffic light, gear stop at D, also have "jit jit" sound, but if change to N gear then the sound gone.

What issue is this? Timing belt? or?
*
i just read from almera fb group 2 user have problem with gear box and luckily still under warranty ...not sure about the jit jit sound but they claim
hearing abnormal noise and after change gear position sound poff n on .not sure if related to yr issue but very very trouble to hear NISSAN ALMERA having gear box problem ....if only bearing /cooling coil /acon i am still ok but gear box is just too expsensive looo 12k + rite . bangwall.gif

Yeah i bought the armrest before, not to say its bad... but its not firm. it will flex a bit if you push a lot of force on it. But the most irritating thing is the handbrake, the armrest obstruct your hand to pull and relase the handbrake. unless you dont use the handbrake much should be fine. i removed it afetr using it for few months.
No comment on the rubber strip, but the gap on the almera is kinda small to begin with. the sound form the window and tyres bothers me more than the door. i dont see a need to buy the rubber strip.
*
Yup most of the sound is from tyre & window.
If too silent worry cant hear the defect bearing & also defect motor fan abnormal sound which is compulsory defect for Almera . rclxm9.gif

I cant remeber. However there are some optional items you can say no to...
1. Fuel cleaner
2. Engine cleaner
3. Aircond cleaning/flushing
4. Alignment, balancing and wheel rotation.
5. Windshield solution (rm10)

Its up to you... I highly recommend u to take num 4, if your car is floating, moving left n right n hard to drive at 90kmph++
Of cos they will highly reccomend the rest but... see how deep your pocket.
*
No4 i rather do it out side after all its cheaper and there is no warranty for this so why waste
No3 aircon related services is compoulsory rite if dont want to VOID warranty .i guess we can postpon to next service but not skip .
* Almera acon components coil/cooling fan very poor quality always spoil and very costly to change .
cost me rm376 for 20 k service all above except no4

Yes it true, you can do it outside. If you can find cheaper than rm75 without gst, just find your trusted tyre shop.
Yeah no3 I didnt skip due to warranty. Oh really, I didnt know Nissan's aircond system was that weak.
*
same goes to wheel bearing .....mine 20k service already change rear side .
*my old myvi 7 yrs nvr change ..not even once bangwall.gif

Went to test drive today. V spec no more selling.. VL spec most use digital a lot expensive to fix if it spoil as been told by SA. About bearing issue, he told me go to chan sow lin SC, the technician there can fix for u and will not happen again. They will be opening new SC at kajang/semenyih

It does feel underpowered a bit compare vios but when sit in the car its really comfortable unlike vios.
*
You mean the faulty bearing is related to technician skill? I think its the bearing quality issue.Maybe they are not using the local made or china made but using NTN jpn made thats why after change the problem dont re-appear fast

Its about time to renew my insurance as when i bought my car last yr it was Tan Chong (AXA Ins).I did compare fe co quoat and found
Takaful in cheaper by 150 as they give 10% discount for walkin and also if you dont claim you get 15% cash rebet .
My question is if accident will i have any problem if using TAKAFUL but send the car to Tan Chong ?
I mean if i switch from Tan Chong AXA to TAKAFUL will i have delay when it comes to insurance claim and things like that ?

Any advise please

last time have a chat with a nissan guy. he say the nissan to nissan replacement is actually depend on ur insurance coverage. say if ur total lost coverage is rm50k, and a new almera is 60k u need to pay the extra 10 k.
*
Unless you take the RTI additonal package (RETURN TO INVOICE) they will pay u buying price stated in the invoice .
I just checked it covers in case of theft & total loss only .
2 yrs=rm229.70
3 yrs=rm351.90
4 yrs=rm600.40

since its too expensive i decided not to take sad.gif

Takaful customer since 2011.. not matter which place i went.. they said it troublesome. Their rules very straight.. as for the discount.. there is t&c apply
*
Takaful is out of the list since Tan Chong dont accept means if sent to repair must pay cash first then claim back
(troublesome just to save 10% + 15 % cash rebate for no claim )

Guys mind sharing yr claiming experince and give yr choice from the list below which is Tan Chong approved
1) Axa Affin General Insurance
2) MSIG Insurance
3) Berjaya Sompo Insurance
4) Progressive Insurance
5) Liberty Insurance (previous known as Uni Asia)
6) Multi Purpose Generali Insurance
7) Allianz General Insurance
8) AM General Insurance (Kurnia)
9) Lonpac Insurance
10) Tokio Marine Insurance
11) MAA Takaful Insurance (Islamic Insurance)

TC did my accident claim before so didnt notice, no interaction with them. I only know the admin was sighing, the Lonpac is slow and not friendly to them. I personally wanted to claim my NCD from them as i transfer my old car NCD to my almera. Apparently they didnt do anything for 6mths after i bought the car. Got an agent to call them, took 3x calls within the span of 4 mths. and finally got back my refund after a long while. Just got my refund 2 mths before my insurance need to renew. So no LONPAC!
The rest no comment.
*
Ok no LONPAC ..will ask around Glenmarie SC staffs when i go for my 30k service next week.Tks

MOS2 Engine treatment

These 4 easily cost you about RM200++.

They always include this items but i also always reject this item and tell them to remove .I just stick to mandatory items no add on futhermore their price
really cut throat .Thats why before u sign the form when u sent the car check detail of the items .I always take note the mandatory items in the web page list anything extra i ask to potong .Bukan senang maaa cari wang cool2.gif

My current insurance is AXA too so i will just maintain the same .tks bro

Can we use other brand of the below instead of using original Nissan for Almera?

engine oil for 5W40 - 4 litre
oil filter
pan washer
windscreen washer
auto-transmission oil - 4 litre
brake fluid
coolant

Thanks.
*
If outside Nissan SC of cozz you can choose what you wish .But the filters i think will std Nissan parts .
As for engine/transmission oil its your choice but make sure its genuine and not clone/low grade .(most critical to our car0
If Nissan SC then have to use all their brand

I service outside, using parts bought from outside and inside.

Stuff like oil filter, outside got sell Nissan Japan original.

Engine oil, I buy from Nissan. Their 0w-20 is reasonably cheap.

ATF oil change, I go to Nissan. Expensive, but at least they use the proper ATF, Nissan Matic-S.

Others like brake pad, brake oil, I change outside. Brake fluid I use Castrol.
*
Very good decision thats is why i m also going to follow the same action after finish my 100k warranty .
Maybe outside engine oil is 4liter pack thats why expensive whereelse Nissan sell 1 liter pack .
By the way initially after changing engine oil i did check using the dip and was really worried they never change as the
oil so thin (cair ) but after doing some reading came to know 0w-20 is the thinnest and ftuheermore they need to use good oil base .
