If I am not wrong that serpentine belt is connected to the water pump. If broke, your water pump won't work and engine will overheat.

That stupid belt is RIDICULOUSLY weak! Mine already changed 4 times!!! 150k km changed 4 times belt!!! Normally this belt last around 80k-100k km!!

Even Myvi only change once every 100k km!!

Going for 80k service at CSL sc this Wednesday. They quoted me rm1k+- as this is major service. Fainted T.T

I just sent my car for 40k service today and the service guy charge me rm 880+. I take out the addictive and it bcome 80x. The 40k service include change alternator which is the most expensive part. I also request to change engine belt because it always making annoying sound from 3rd gear to 4th gear. Changing the alternator, belt all are not included in warratny thats why sometimes i wonder what the warranty actually covers.

RM 80x include labor fee and gst.. but is a huge jump of price from 30k to 40k

Mu rear light got smashed today at parking. Not a proper parking. Anyone know roughly how much ?

Also, Wooo Wooo sound from car as well. I guess that is bearing ady. Weekend will go and check. I'm not too sure it is bearing. But the sound only comes when drive above 60kph. Just Wooo Wooo Wooo , sound like something spinning. Confirm not wind sound , not air cond , not engine. Its coming probably from beneath the car or back. The sound is not loud enough for me to identidy the source.

Went to check at workshop. Foreman said not bearing. But still I change two piece of front tyre. Actually ady plan to change as its 3 years ady. The tire still new but a lot of small cracks. Change to cc6 same size at 195 per piece.

Back to the Wooo woo sound. Its still there. Maybe I will jus wait to get the sound louder as it is not easy to find out. I aso recon that the sound not easy to discover as other noise could be override it. Unless the owner who get used to the car, else others would be difficult. Jus need to wait my luck until it get worst and easily find out. What is the heating element ? At engine bay ?

Jus for your info. The rear lamp is 275 per piece. I haven change it because I saw someone selling at mudah for 200. Not sure if mudah can be trusted.

according to the user manual, whats the recommended engine oil API & viscosity grade for almera?

I am user of Almera facelift user, the rattling sound is on the dashboard, car only in 5000km mileage. Anyone facing this problems?
But i doubt for those comment bad in oil consumption, for me oil consumption is quite stable, if highway full tank can reach 800km-900km with 90-110km/h. If fully use in city is 550-600km/h (as you guys know cheras to PJ, average 10km/h, trap me in jam for 1 hour everyday)

The last time i tried, Subang to JB can manage return trip 110-130kmph (660km). Jam a bit... maybe max 500?? to be honest if you ever look at the fuel consumption meter. its most economical at 90-100kmph and 120-130kmph. 110... its about the same with 120. so may as well drive faster!!! LOL
I finally got my UR bars installed. TCEAS took the exclusive rights... so no more outside workshops unless old stock. Well i do say the car is more planted to the road, less sway, at high speeds the steering wheel more stiff. So no more floaty/sway feeling. the bad thing is... the front tires got more noisy and of course not so comfortable ride since the chassis got stiffer. Overall, i am very happy

Well I change mine after 24mths, 50k km. SC told me batt getting weaker since 30k km haha, im surprised yours still ok. Even if it can go on some more. I changed mine at www.carbattery.com.my its the wet batt but its smaller/lighter than stock. The guy said the stock batt we had is actually maintenance free with caps. Its special order by TC. MF batt dry slower, with the caps it allows us to add some batt water and make it last even longer. Outside and SC you cant get the same batt from factory.
I change a YUASA NS60L wet, need to regularly top up, max record can last 18mths the guy told me with proper care. But I think I nxt time will try AMARON PRO MF. I think they hv caps that add water, got 24mth warranty I heard. MF batt are getting affordable and easy to find.

RM1K for the AC blower motor and if you are unlucky, there is this servo motor for the hot/cold air, that would cost another RM400.

That's what happen to me. First the servo kong, go replace RM400. Then 2 weeks later the AC blower motor kong, goes another RM1K.

please check your tax invoice or repair order form. RM1k I'm doubt that it is cooling coil. It should be mentioned as "evaporator assy" on your tax invoice. they have quoted me RM 2100 + RM500 labour + 6% GST.

Ya. My car changed cooling coils, wheel bearings & motor fan. Common problems for Almera.
But under warranty, so OK.
Now extend 2 years, but pay around RM1060.
In my opinion, still OK.
Somemore tried outside workshops for many years,
just cheaper a little bit compared to SC.
& more headache, need inform them change this or check that.

However, TC SC SA suck as well.

My cooling coil kaput. One of the less fortunate.

3.5 years later (no more warranty).
