I think the answer also depends on which species of tortoise concern !! If campare Star Tortoise and say RES the RES will win But if we use bigger species of tortoise like Sulcata to compare the tortoise will win for sure !!!
Sulcata is one of the fastest growing tortoise species in the world

If we use Spiny Hill turtle I think all species of Tortoise of the same size as hatchlings will win it for sure  LOL !!!  One of the slowest growing turtle I know of , be them hatchlings or Juv !!!

My star tortoise doesn't seem to like water. Gave it a little shallow pan of water/pool for it but it doesn't seem too keen on going in. Wonder if it's alright?

sometimes i feel like the more u take care the tortoise or turtle...
it will tend to get sick easily....

hi guys, may i know where do you all keep your tortoise? anyone keeping it inside plastic container like toyogo?

i have 2 star tortoise, one is 2 inches big and another is slightly more than 3 inches which i added recently, and now the container is like very packed already.

actually i'd been looking for plastic container like toyogo in major supermarket but non of them satisfy me, it's either too small or it's too deep, so instead for keep looking, i think i better just find another solution. so can anyone here suggest a good and affordable tortoise container for me? i prefer something that's light so that i can easily bring the whole container out for sun bath.

other than plastic container i also thinking of getting an offer bin (picture below), the one u usually see when there are discount in most fashion shop, but the problem is i dunno where to get one anyone here know where i can get one?

1st time being there....
but got disappointed........most of the stuff i need to buy for my star tortoise is out of service

i dunno if its close for gud or for renovation.
its close even its still only like 5pm.....

but still manage to get food tray....recycle paper pellet bedding n hydrometer.... from pets safari 

so 2.5inch star tortoise issit at the safe zone?i mean they wont easily get sick?doest buying those UVB or basking light a must for them?can i use a normal white table lamp?
