i bought 2nd hand LMST since 2013, not sure when to change the shock absorbers? I just noticed that my car vibrate loudly when driving along uneven roads. Could that be a sign of wear?

Then you can try increase the idle rpm by adjusting the idle screw, if once open air condition (compressor kicks in) the rpm drops until engine dead, then it could be vacuum tube broken, idle load compensator problem and valve.

hi guys, i am using a JVC KD 446 receiver, it has a dimmer feature but i noticed the wire (orange) are not connected and thus no dimming feature. (normally open all the way) Any hints on how to get this work? anyone knows if these receiver detects the signal via dry contact or voltages?

Thanks a lot albert! Now only i know service manual for receivers exist, if its's 12v in = ON, i believe its simple wiring tapped from any power sources should be fine.

But now after like 1-2 weeks of use i somehow feel like my receiver did not dim drastically (there is actually a time set dimmer too) and somehow doesn't seem to have settings for the dimmer power. Will look tru the manual the verify that.

Even till 2007 LMST also has this similiar issue, hot till cannot touch. I thought relay problem then i switch the relays (the one beside to radiator fan) still the same, power window side relay heat up. But till today no problem while the radiator fan relay actually kong-ed.

Coz i think i read before if often and for a long period of time, its not good, something like icing or too cold?

coz for my case aircond faulty, then a workshop modded my thermostat to a rheostat. After that the white smoke phenomenon is quite obvious and recurrent, eventually in the end the compressor kaput ( diagnosed by another ac guy mention the rheostat and a bypassed drier valve is the culprit )

my light switch somehow spoiled, no longer clicks to lock in place and can turn very loosely. Seems like something is out of place and not sure can be fixed or replace it is the best option.
Googled the parts and it comes together with the wiper switch.
If want to change myself, seems like need to remove the steering wheel. You guys got any advice on this?

sure? i remember when it started to blink and i was able to fill up approx 40 liter. LMST capacity should be 45 liters means there is another 5 liter to spare when blinking.

my 2007 proton lmst started to show some overheat issue.

It is observed recently after service, changed the distributor seal and the top seal (the one covers the valve heads ?) and some adjustment on the timing. Not sure if any of this related.

Aircond performance seems drop during hot noon hours. Bring to workshop to check air cond, pressure is enough and no other problem and coz the system working well. They say maybe recently hot weather, then i ok lo.

i found out that during hot noon hours, if i stuck at traffic jam with with aircond fan and turn to max, the air does not get cold, After a few stop and goes (rev up and release clutch few times), for few minutes, the water temperature bar will rise to 4 bar. When this happens, i tried to rev as low as i could to get the car moving and it cools down to 3 bar once i manage to hit a long straight, and aircond starts to cool.

Now i m suspecting the car slightly over heat causing the air cond to perform bad also, since the condensers are nearby and releasing heat. Car cooling system is ok also, fan will turn when reaching certain temp, coolant is enough.

And advice? think i should target and service the cooling system? like flush? i am kinda sure the rising to 4 bar is not normal lol.

in this condition i think you can tune the idle rpm to higher a bit (around 1k) to compensate for the vibration during aircond on, for manual car i adjust this, not sure autos got any different.

my saga lmst occasionally have some quite high pitch sound when de-clutching. signs of needing to change the clutch?

why your 3rd party like more exp than 1st party one?

same here, so far from my experience a few phones and china mirror gps thingy shows around 10km/h less than the LMST speedometer.

The only thing i can say is
Have your tyres to optimum pressure, reduce the weight of your car, most important of all, light footed lol.
