First off, I'm sorry for your loss.

Secondly, get the pulis lipot done within 24hours. If you pass that time, go see doctor and ask for backdate MC, can tolerate up to 72 hours. If passed 3 days also didn't make report, need to go bai hospital MC, stating you're admitted and not fit for going out make lipot, for the cases of victim went into comma/vegetation state, and or head trauma that result in memory lost. Regardless you got insurance or not, make pulis lipot is very important to protect your personal interest. Third party can sue you for hit and run if you do not make a lipot.

If you have comprehensive insurance, and if you're the vehicle owner/authorized driver, then you do not need to pay anything. Bumper, fender, bonnet, crossmember will be knocked to closest to original status. New paint will be given to the involved area. However, the signal lamp will only be replaced with cap ayam. Should you request for a brand new original, you'll have to top up the difference. Towing services should also be covered by insurance company. And if you're  not the vehicle owner, and your name/IC is not stated in the insurance policy indicate as an authorized driver, you'll have to pay a sum EXCESS, range between 300~500 depending on the insurer previously stated in the insurance policy.

If you have a third party coverage, sorry nothing much you can do/claim. Rough estimation for the knock job is 500. Bumper also can be knock back by using heat treatment, but wouldn't look nice as it will look wavy. New bumper cap ayam should be RM150. No point look for chop shop, you wouldn't know whether that's an original bumper or the previous owner from the donor car is also using cap ayam, in the end you might be paying the same price but getting a used cap ayam bumper. New paint for the entire front part is about 500 as well since it's metallic. Otherwise, if you're cheap enough just spray it pitch black, probably around 300. Signal lamp/headlamps sendiri look for kedai sepepat kasi gao dim.

Good luck

Thank you for such detailed procedure. I have my victim drive me to balai and report yesterday. Left my car registration card at beaufort so the report half done. Asked for the salinan so i can go do a notification to my insurans so the fellow can claim, kena marah gao gao by sarjan say without car card cannot get the salinan report. Today went with car card, the sarjan made report off, so cannot do again. Kena maraha gao gao again when call him and ask what to do because tomorrow cannot come back, I need to work. Sarjan tell me to leave the documents with the victim and he will settle for me.

Went to insurans to fill up form say i langgar this guys car so he can claim. The claim officer say i will be stuck at the police report part there. Ask if the victim can get my police report, can he proceed, she say can. So, ended up call the victim and ask him to remember to get my copy of police report to the insurans company. Or else....

Just yesterday and today alone kao dim the insurans and make police report is already exhausting. Summore kena marah twice by the sarjan i feel like crap the whole day. I hope the whole thing can lepas already la. If tak lepas and i need to go down to that place to deal summore i want to die.

Now to think about the car fixing part.... Looks like gonna cost me arm and leg now.

Rm40 per door including the labor fee...
If you go DIY, you might get as low as RM25~30 per door.

I think they are not sold, but cut.
Go to accessory shop and ask around. In my case, the accessory shop that sells car seat cut out for me. I am not very sure about the specialisation of accessory shops. Some they don't sell because they will tell you they specialised in light and wiring.

After 1 month of hu ha, i finally got my car after the accident...
However, I now have a depressing problem.
My wiper is swiping so slow i feel it takes eternity to complete 1 circle.
The supposed fastest stroke is like the second slowest stroke when it was good.
I changed the wiper motor in Dec 2014 so pretty sure should not be the wiper motor problem. Another thing i suspected is the wiring of the car somehow goes haywire.
This is because my radio also go haywire after the accident. It plays songs from USB well, but when i switch on my radio, it acts like it is constantly auto-restarted
Is there any ways i can DIY check it first before sending to the mechanic?

Anyone has totally redone their car wiring before? Want to ask about the price and the time for doing that.

Sounds like ada short circuit or earth tarak cukup. I repair my iSwaga on an ad-hog basis. Mana rosak, tampal mana.

Can share where to start looking? My engine bay wiring is so messy i only know everything starts from battery, and then the wire just dunno go where. Try to trace just now, so far got wires from battery to:
1) Thermostart
2) Headlamps
3) Air_cond
4) Wiper (maybe, need to recheck with my mechanic)

The wiring to radio need to start from where?

Maybe something affected the 12V supply or the earthing, since your motor is new, and things were normal before the accident.

How serious was the accident, did it affect any of the wiring, or did the foreman's repair involved any work on the wiring?

The accident destroyed my front bonnet. The headlamps are gone, the radiator and the a/c cooling coils too. So they kind of fix it by installing a new radiator, radiator fan, a/c cooling coils. my radiator fan used to start after the engine got heated, but the mechanic mentioned to me he bypassed the thermostat and the fan will automatically on whenever i turn on the power. Not too sure if that is consider rewiring?

Btw, my fan is not the proton original, it's a fan taken out of perodua kenari as my budget are really limited. The mechanic mentioned that this fan is stronger compared to the proton original. Other than that, i did not notice anything was altered.

On side note, anyone has experience with paying traffic summons? I have paid to the traffic police on the spot when I was reporting about the accident. However, due to limited cash at the time, I did it under the table with RM250. Today, I went to check on the MYEG websites and apparently the summon is still there. What should I do now? I don't have the original summon nor the receipt with me, only the photocopied summon. The traffic police offered to "tolong" me. Should i just wait for the summon to dissapear or should i go pay straightaway tomorrow (since i have one day leave to run errands)

Actually, you can make do with a timer circuit for the radiator fan's motor.

I had thought about for some time, rather than depend on the thermostatic
switch inserted in the radiator, which tends to turn on the fan at too high
a temperature for my liking.

That thermostat switch is actually rated at 85 degrees on, 80 deg C off,
thus maintaining it at an average 82 C or so, the same as that for
the water thermostat.
If you have any friend who is an electronics hobbyist, ask him if he can
design a timer circuit for the fan, which would include a variable resistor
to control how long the fan stays on/off. This variable resistor potentiometer
could be installed, with a knob, in your dashboard.

On hot days/jams, you could adjust the knob to let the fan stay on for
a longer period, and a shorter time on colder days.

Such temperature control wouldn't be perfect of course, but should allow
your engine to stay roughly in the operating temperature range between
the first and second quarter of the gauge.

I think such a timer circuit would be based on the common 555 chip.

The positive supply for the fan motor's relay is actually found in the fuse box
in the lower right dashboard, where it connects to the relay on the left side.

The negative supply for that relay is connected to the terminal of the
thermostatic fan switch in radiator, where it grounds the circuit to the
radiator body on reaching 85 degrees C, thus switching the relay and fan
motor on.

The relay on the right in the fuse box is for the power windows.

You must be a electrical enthusiast to know such deep knowledge. That is a bit out of my league for a layman. But I am getting what you are trying to imply on installing a timer rather than temperature dependent switch. My fan was constantly switching on and off when I was waiting at the lights and it's annoying.

Thanks for pointing out the wirings for the radiator fan. Appreciated it.

I found a potential cause of the wiper malfunctioning. In the fuse box, my radio& cigarette lighter fuse is a 20A rather than 15A as per specified by the diagram. The wiper fuse is just beside the radio fuse. I thought that might have some influence over the wiper mulfunctioning so I change that to 15A, the wiper seems to be back to normal (Hopefully it's not just my thoughts playing with me) but still looks a bit slower. I will try to get a multimeter to test the pins next Monday when i get to my mechanic.

About the fine compound, I was in shock and did not bring enough money. I am going over to the police station tomorrow to sort it out. If I have to fork out RM300 more just to pay again, I guess that is my lesson there. Should not have done some dirty did in the first place.
