QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Dec 27 2014, 05:21 PM) Did you pay using paypal or mistakenly logged on to your paypal account? The transaction could be transacted using your paypal account without you noticing it. Er. Since when PayPal is accepted in Apple Store? Nope, I'm very sure it's my AmEx as I also inputted the CVV. My PayPal is already authorized years ago. Anyway, whatever it is la. Not that important anymore, I still haven't received the SMS that payment is charged to my card. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Dec 27 2014, 05:24 PM) Yup. This is CIMB's policy to charge all 'foreign' transactions. Strange though as we make the purchase through Apple Online Store Malaysia and not some company in a foreign land. This 'cross border' transaction charge should not apply. the cross border fee is charged by CIMB because you're transacting in local currency with a foreign payee.in other words, Visa/Master isn't earning anything when they should earn because there should be currency exchange |

Since its not charged yet, maybe its some sort of verification charge before they charge your card but then again this is paypal procedure. But the item is bought at Apple Store Malaysia, not Apple Store Singapore etc. Would not be fair to charge cross border fees like in this situation. But then again, only Cimb cardholders get charged. I have no such issues with my Public Bank and Citibank cards.in other words, Visa/Master isn't earning anything when they should earn because there should be currency exchange |

QUOTE(BRY7 @ Dec 27 2014, 09:55 PM) like i've stated, the payee is in SG but you're charged with local currency. Yea bro.. I get your point. Basically there is no Apple Store My. Apple Store My just serves as a front to collect orders from Malaysia and lets Apple Sg handles the everything from order processing to delivery.if you're buying from local payee with local currency, there won't be any imposed charges |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 27 2014, 11:11 AM) Just bought two more units and based on my previous two times purchases, they were charged immediately. The full amount I meant. Don't worry fruit. The usd1 will be refunded. Standard procedure it uses to authorize if ur card is working. Out of nowhere, it only charged me RM 1 for authorization, this is not the first time for me to use this credit card in Apple Store. I called Maybank and they said no issue for my credit card but they only received the RM 1 charge so far. My weekend AmEx rebate.... I did receive email from Apple Store for my order and can find this order in Apple online but didn't charge any amount yet. Sigh. As for the transaction no charged yet, same as me. I bought usd10 worth of apps and music, yet only received usd1 of sms transaction. I guess Christmas weekend too many ppl buying from App Store... |

Luckily there's the Malaysian Online Apple Store, since supply of the iPhone 6 is still scarce in local retail outlets (Machines, Mac City, [i] Store, and many others don't have stock at all).
When my Dad offered to pay for my 6 as a Christmas gift, I headed online and placed the order on the 24th. While the phone was originally supposed to be here tomorrow, I'm already using it now, haha! Turns out that UPS actually shipped the item to Sepang, then on to Shah Alam, on Christmas Day. And it eventually was dropped off at my office on the 26th (faster than I imagined)! It seems like UPS doesn't go to Shenzhen anymore. Yeah!
I'm now on year end leave and back to Seremban, hopefully my newly ordered two units of iPhone 6 can reach me before New Year. |

If there is stock for the model you want in Singapore Apple warehouse, then your unit will be directly shipped from Singapore...which is faster by atleast 2- days.
