REAl panic will come when oil reach the $40's range.

Many oil companies will close shop, the survivors will win it all..

capex ady spent. the oil production must go on to recover their investment. i think those O&G new comers will suffer the most when it reach $40

With oil so cheap, why aren't governments taking advantage of the price to do more stuff? For example, large infrastructure projects in the US. I guess the problem is that no one knows how long the drop will last and projects take years to complete.

Right now they are paying out about 97% earnings, gearing is 110% as of last year.

Not surprised, drilling in north sea is very expensive up to $80 bbl, so it is not worth it. The more of the high cost producers close, the better for the more efficient players.

Skpet's average drilling cost is $40 bbl, producing light sweet TAPIS crude, which fetch the highest price in the world.

Like I say, it will be the survival of the fittest, highest cost producers will die, lowest will survive. When enough high cost producers die, oil production will naturally taper off even without OPEC and the market will rebalance itself.



BTW.. Malaysia exports almost all it's TAPIS crude, and import heavy sour crude from middle east for refining into petroleum products.

When oil drop below USD60; didnt meanz forever drop below never come out.

Human population still depend 70% as energy source.


When ever i can hold for 2-3year im happy to put and hold.
Keep CASH in BANK will is not mine objective; inflation will kill CASH value in bank.
