QUOTE(wankel @ Dec 18 2014, 12:33 PM)
You can swirl the bottle after you begin emptying and that certainly gives it a hurry up, it's why I like the theory.
The firing order is related to crankshaft layout, which is related to engine balance.
Balance too is a real minus for inline 4 cylinder engines, unless they have an infinitely long conrod balance can't be achieved, and the Lanchester balance system used in larger capacity 4s are fairly complex. Myself I'd prefer a three, a balancer if used is simpler and the shorter engine is better suited to fit into the engine bay, but for some reason makers and consumers are fairly allergic to them.

Oh well, there's always enough idiots to purposely distort the exhaust flow by changing the manifold exit sequence whistling.gif

Then other day... dribe dribe... left quarter tank ron95/97... go say Shell... got Ron97... so pump 97...

Like that lor... not that i suka suka want to mix...

Technically, car is dumb. The computer will only adjust the ignition timing by 1' each step. In order to change the behavior of ignition you'll have to go either below RON91 or... I believe each 1' advancement can withstand extra 20RON. So, the next time your engine able to automatically tune in will be RON110 and above or so laugh.gif Reference of switching fuel between E85 and RON98.

I'm not saying RON97 useless. Again, TECHNICALLY it supposed to help make fuel reduct flash point. In short, it's harder to self detonate, you get cooler fuel. In a hot afternoon, there's significant difference on power delivery even just 1RON different, especially Meleisia kinda weather letting your fuel pod opened the car will self explode laugh.gif That however, is total bull crap if you can tell the difference at chilling night or cool morning. On the computer management wise, usually RON97 will not trigger advancement of ignition timing to the extend of INCREASE hospowah, but surely the way of injection pulse will be adapted according to fuel utilization as the ping sensor will send back needful information to the ECU, and ECU will decide to make your car save fuel.

Some car make more power on higher RON fuel, especially talking about high compression engine of good old Hongda B16, B18, F20 engines. They're all horse monsters that easily produces 100 hospowah on each litre, hence the detonation is extreme. Whenever fuel injected has less RON, if the combustion chamber is hot enough it may automatically burst into flame. This is when you hear "klak klak klak klak" sound when the taxi wira/iswara climbing hills, it's call knocking/ping. So, yes Kampro has a compression of 10:1 is considerably high, but I don't think we can go any lower compression or our huge ass engine with small capacity will stall everytime you lift the gas pedal.

To further understand, RON is the OCTANE rating in the fuel, to prevent it ignite. I have no intension to run the figures, so don't ask me how, why and what needs to be done with your car. All I know is, PETROL RON91 is perfectly safe for Kampro engines(other than tebucas CFEs). There's JET fuel at RON110, but you can't use that in your Kampro or you're fried(not only the car, probably the whole street). There's natural gas at RON101, but you don't get more power, instead you feels like driving a 30 tons diesel truck. Different kinda fuel, different RON rating.

So, don't get too excited about RON97 or feel butt hurt if it's RON95. Technically, when you mix fuel, it actually helps to blend in (or to confused the ECU) to run at optimal. Your ignition timing/fuel injection pulse will be running optimal between 95~97 when you mix fuel. Why not make it a standard practice, 1 tank RON95 and 1 tank RON97, you'll probably notice your RON97 save more fuel than RON95 everytime you do that. But when you made up your mind stuck with RON97 for 5 tank straight, damn it you just can't get back the mileage figure when you switching fuel between 95 and 97 laugh.gif Take it or leave it, it's my personal opinion since I was borned in the era of hoarding with RON92 for performance.

As for the color of fuel, they're basically color die by some international standard nod.gif If you dive down to refinery and see, all fuel from RON89 all the way to RON101, they're the same color(transparent) including jet fuel. Even diesel is the same slightly blur white transparent nod.gif So again, don't get too excited when you see blue color fuel goes into your tank, it could be the banggalah plonk blue color die into the yellow color RON95 fuel and sell to you as 98 doh.gif

dares, jiz nao hor, was driving @ LDP go Jaya Sioping. I drib quite fast oso la, as I reach the DU tunnel from Damansara direksen, the tunnel I usually took the left lane despite outter konar will make me selow. But that place due to known for vehicle berakdown, the steep downhill & tight konar make me hard to gauge the inner konar whether safe anot.

So, today no different, as usual I'll take the outter konar instead. Sardenly got 1 yelo kaler Pesta wt reising stripe came very da fast. Since I know we're not far different in terms of performans, I ma go push abit lor. Fuah dat yelo Pesta like du9lan ci9lan7xin sardenly cut me from inner konar, then took my front & selow down let me see its ass. I know infront SS2 got many kar will kam join LDP, and many selow poke like to turn left at SS2 Bomba go SS2 mall. Since the Pesta like to hog that lane, I dropped 3rd gear, swayed to overtaking lane. Despite my full effort its still sitting side by side. As expected, knowing that Pesta won't gibup so easily as well. Came the left fork road, selow vehicle joining in, given infront got few cars given left turn signal ady. The Pesta got no choice but to move behind me.

As soon as I put left signal to exit SS2, fuah the yelo Pesta so angry. Over took me wt bery littl margin, probably grinding divider to pass me laugh.gif Da Pesta like drop gear, then BUFF! Fuah got backfaiyah tim laugh.gif Can faintly heard it change gear bery fast ar, gear ratio sounds bery kolos too. So sardenly reminds me of ur komen, u said the DSG gebox bery selowpoke. That Pesta did totally opposite then what u said wor laugh.gif
