Will convert more RM to usd next week

currently i have some usd ready to buy.
not for me, i prefer to wait a little longer for usd to drop (or rm to rebound). unless the stock i want to buy drops above 8% to cover the weak rm.

Wow.. last check, the dollar index back off from highs of the week 100.71 to 98.70 this week yet the Ringgit continues to slide from 3.68 to 3.71. I'm not so sure if the dollar strength that causing Ringgit to slide anymore.
Singapore dollar to USD hasn't move much.

wow! that's bad.....ringgit is really.....hurt by stupid 1MDB (which become the major excuse for Fitch to plan to downgrade rating) and recent political stupidity (both BN and PKR are in highly unstable condition), in addition to the one and only most reasonable oil price effect. What can i say. this is like all the bad stuffs come together at the same time.

weak rm.... first, it was oil price. then it was a strong usd.

now maybe more to do with imdb's continued non-transparency saga and fitch warning on downgrade/unregulated debts.

dun forget there is gst looming: if it cools domestic consumption, bnm may be forced to cut rates which will give the rm a knock as well. then there is 50% sovereign bonds held by foreigners. lastly, keep in mind msia consistently rank in world top 5 for illicit outflows.

many reports r now saying they r expecting all emerging markets currencies to go down further, matter of how much more. turkish lira another 10%, brazil another 5% - so these reports predict.

here, we just have to watch what the unshakables-in-power do. too many "f"s in the report card.

rm gained (3.685) this morning but weakened by closing. (3.695).

well, better than 3.73 last fri.

today market close, will apple drop with huge volume again?

nothing exciting last session, failed to see any buy, so...zzzzz....

one thing, can see the usd weakening last 2 days, may continue a bit more - think some $ bulls unwinding large long positions.

this week will see jobs reports, gdp est., may get volatile - chance to buy/sell.

i'll be ready!

been watching for an hr...

rm's relatively strong today at 3.6625 buying, but nothing on my watchlist went down.

cpi, manufacturing, housing data all came out fair-good.


dan, u may wanna consider taking profit on xle. i took whatever little profit i could, all of it!
