been watching it bounce around 60.5-61.0 for a couple of hrs.

but yes... hope it get over 61!

if not, better it go below 60, chancc to buy XLE <80!

does not look easy for it come down <80.

will SPY cross 213 today?

some people are already talking about djia at 20,000 by year end - 12% gain for the yr.

i like that, so i will target 12% gain for S&P500 = 2,300, i.e. SPY at 230.

xle did not retreat much, so i grabbed something else earlier in the session.

the grouper was seen but as oil price fizzled, it morphed into ikan bilis.

at closing and after hrs, a mini grouper emerged... so, it oil price stays >60 tonite, i should get my mini grouper.

i think more like dived and struggling to recover!

oil price dives, so all them go down.

the grouper became ikan bilis, then vanished with the bait and hook!

looks like no trade, no buy tonite. just sit back n watch a bit, see how low will oil go.

please to see XLV finally doing some catchup.

aapl is worth 240 la!

SPY's been good to me - most stable, decent gains - average 5% gain in 6 months, nothing to complain. 230 it is.

oil/energy took a beating last session. strong housing pushing the rate hike thingy again, usd moving up again. with excess supply, oil price probably will stay weak for now.
i was much tempted to buy XLE at 79.50 but decide to keep watching, patient...

this one is a much less popular one, a tiny fraction of the SPY volume... liquidity...?

<79 will happen, imo. unless oil price returns to 60 quick.
mid dec 2014 with oil at 58, xle was 75-77.
oih has also gone below 37 which is bad news.


but... no need to go bear yet. oil/energy down, nasdaq is still in play!

doesn't matter. 130->180->240 in 2-3 yrs, ok.

my watchlist is all green but by not much.

fed minutes may throw things about...?

i just checked ERX but can't find the holdings info. is this ETF a portfolio of other oil/energy ETFs?

XLE has mostly oil companies and a couple of the largest oilfield service cos. OIH has major oilfield services and equipment cos.

also... XLE expense ratio is 0.15%, OIH 0.35%, ERX is 0.95%.

volumewise, ERX is much lower than the other 2...

what might explain the higher volatility? got to be coming from the stocks mix in it... small caps?
