oil edged down today due to a stronger $ but other than that, other reports seem neutral or even positive!

bursa been puking for a few days now, mainly due to TNB getting ripped by a potential 1mdb deal.
also, i seem to read many bursa cos. reporting much lower profits for last qtr.
will be interesting to be see inflation data next qtr, may hv impact on rm.

us equities... my report card says it's a tiny gain of 3% for first half yr. puke <1% to buy in, ok.
events in europe may be key. spain has just thrown out the last gomen, may follow the greek route.

futures going from -ve to flat.

europe flat, oil flat, usd holding.

small bull tonite.

1% bear arrived...

it's all due to the $.

in euro, yen or aud, u gain 1%.

0.5% for sgd n rm.

not so bad...

if buying with rm, 78.90 @3.65 is more expensive than 79.50 at 3.60!

delayed iran deal giving oil a breather today... stay cool.

not "happy", more like "hedged".

if yr us stock holdings in usd... in rm terms, still ok, no?

of course, usd cash will be even better, can buy more when stocks fall.

actually, rm is only a bit weaker now. as evidenced by sgd1=rm2.70. aud1=rm2.82 is worse.

1mdb is one of reasons and will continue to haunt everything.

i will be looking out for next qtr data - gdp growth, trade/current acc balance and inflation.

10% chance 3.55, 40% 3.60 and 50% >3.70 before year end.

2010 was almost as good. read the book but afraid 3001 will never be made.

tonite looks exciting... oil recovery, xle and oih up... ikan bilis in sight.

oooops... ikan bilis vanished!

yo-yo is the name of the game...

anyway, i took more xle at 78.50 - this one to be locked up like the rest for "a long time".

and yet... still hopeful the ikan bilis will return for oih and rig.



one thing i like about these oil counters - they yo-yo 95% correlation with oil price, maybe with a lag of 2 seconds.

well... i m not much into the level of technical charts like you.

there are some i keep, some are for trading, day trading sometimes.

small amount everytime, no serious damage, no big gain.

like this xle case, i can take profit now, ikan bilis!

will probably watch another hr, then decide.

yep, small build up in this one but a small draw in cushing.
don't really know how oil priced gained a bit since...
will see what official statement says later today.

i was too sleepy to wait for that data - collected ikan bilis in one net, left the other there before hitting the sack.
will see if there is more ikan bilis tonite.

desperate strategy - poker it with "i die, u die".
