@MgrSagaaboyz I just read the instructions here (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19516805) but not too sure about it.

Hopefully it is the right steps. Or do you know another way of doing it?

The tutorial given on the url is the tutorial on how you can clean both the drives which it contains data before you installing the OS in MSATA. I believe and it's already mentioned in the tutorial that it is advanced. Well the ssd and hard disk that in new customized laptop like z5 since it is new so its already empty and clean. And it is ready for a clean Os installation. And when you are about to install, you can select between drives that you want to install OS. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Check this video (can be helpful): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G75pPktRzaM

An I still don't understand why you want to disable and how u will disable intel Intel Rapid Boost Technology from BIOS.

@MgrSagaaboyz Thanks for your response and the video.

I honestly have no idea because that is the steps from the tutorial about the IRBT.

If it is not required since the notebook is already in a a clean state, then I guess I can just instantly pick the mSATA SSD for the OS to be installed.

So, all I need to do is to plug the USB in, select mSATA SSD and all is good?

Sorry for burdening you with all these questions. =(

Thank you, MgrSagaaboyz. You are awesome and been a great help too.
Will be waiting for Illegear to contact me so I can pick it up.

And do include me in the owner list when I get it.

Wondering how long will it take before I can get my hands on one since I ordered it during noon just now. Heart beating fast!

But there is one way to not loose any $$$money. If you want to sell your z5 then you need to sell for the original price that you bought it. So you can use that money to buy new Z5. If you sell 2nd hand item for its original price then the users will not buy from you but they will buy it directly from the seller. But usually people will sell their 2nd hand items cheaper than the original price. So that buyer can buy it cheaper than the original price. In your case if you sell it cheaper, then you will loose some $$money where you can buy ssd using the same loosing amount of money. In any case you will loose your money if you sell it. So just buy ssd. It truly depends on you.  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

A lot of Z5 user bought it w/o OS I guess.

IMHO, if you're willing to learn and won't be frustrated to face a lot of problem in the future, you are good to go with DOS version (I assume you got no experience in setting up a new laptop yourself from scratch)
Cause sometime it's not as simple as just installing an OS, you may face some Driver compatibility issue as well as BSOD or some other error throughout the process.

So if you don't want to have a lot of hassle and you feel that you will be frustrated on all this error or issue which you may face, it is always better to spend some $ to purchase the OS from ILLEGEAR as they will set up everything for you nicely.

if you can overcome those frustration and potential errors or issues, we're here to help you (but you can't expect us to give you a 100% working solution cause there are a lot of possibilities in IT world) smile.gif

P/S: sorry if I sound a bit rude, cause I encountered too much people who blindly purchased a DOS version and in the end face a lot of problem with it. And eventually they blame their laptop manufacturer doh.gif So to avoid that I hope you are clear on what path you're going biggrin.gif

To make sure it is a valid windows. (well of course the key generated is not a valid 1 sweat.gif )
Some already activated windows installation file may contain "additional" software or "system file" like malware or something like that. So it is always better to have a clean installation file from official site and use a keygen to get the ahem version of the OS

Edit: Correct me if I'm wrong sweat.gif

Nope
I've been using pirated Win XP with self installation
Just that I dowan to waste my win 7 lesen that can be upgrade to win 10 by the end of the year
I dint blame the laptop manufacturer for software sided problem
unless just like my acer, the process that control the fan speed is actually malfunction since years ago and they dint even fix it.

I guess i'll just download the ISO and burn it tru DVD and boot it up
Duno that the Z5 BIOS supports boot from USB for windows installation or not (anyone having experience on it? Laju tak?)

Well.. if you already have a win 7 licensed version and also a retailed version, just deactivate it on your old machine and reactivate it on your Z5.
Oh ya, if you want to burn the ISO into a DVD, make sure you get an external optical drive. Z5 got no Optical Drive remember ? icon_idea.gif
Z5 do support boot from USB. The speed is the same like normal USB.. nothing new.
