Since I'll be free for the coming three days, boss just booked flight today for his tomorrow's holiday trip to Phuket; I guess it is high time for me to look into this and need to go to KLCC/MV for application.
Which centre will have higher chance? I'm actually thinking of KLCC because I will need to go to RHB KLCC to fix my online banking as well. Still no online banking to view my transactions. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 21 2015, 11:38 PM |

Still thinking if I should still call the pre-approved no. to apply for Ikhwan, straight tell them I'm willing to reduce my CL from MBB2Cards.

QUOTE(Lord_Penguin @ Jul 25 2015, 09:34 PM) ah ok, thank you for your reply... Why not? You need to reload TnG right? Some places consider TnG as groceries. Based on current usage of existing M2C (AMEX), I would say mainly used on petrol and departmental store... Groceries, zero record... Wonder if worth getting this, any advise? |

QUOTE(Lord_Penguin @ Jul 26 2015, 10:10 PM) I think shouldn't be an issue on the approval since already own M2C (also recently terminated my backup SCB MC)... There are rejections as well, though owning MBB2Cards. Besides me, there are others as well that got rejected. Of course our record is clean. Other banks approved mine but not Ikhwan. Looks like this is the only ideal CC for 5% CB, will head to The Gardens and apply this MC over the weekend, thanks Anyway, I will reapply again. Good luck to your application. |

QUOTE(mywife @ Jul 27 2015, 06:32 PM) Yeaa...already on that...have never given a cent to bank so far No worries because there are many that got approved as well. But reading from forumers experience here (especially fruitie...hi there!), chances of getting rejected still high Have faith and good luck! I'll re-apply again probably after September, I still have other cards to use until September. |

QUOTE(mgb @ Jul 29 2015, 05:51 PM) Just found out my application for this card got rejected, have to wait 3 months before can re-apply again Mine is 6 months but that was in April, so I will re-apply again in September or something like that. I still don't need this card at the moment. Now have to look at other cards got petrol and groceries cashback QUOTE(Pistacio @ Jul 29 2015, 06:18 PM) Not necessary. Many reasons, a quick search on this topic and you will see many got rejected even though with clean record. |

QUOTE(akping_1 @ Jul 31 2015, 10:37 PM) My ikhwan was approved and ready about 7pm after 2pm + submit all documents need to 1u maybank center, credit limit sprit from my m2c but set to 1k only 1k is too little and dangerous right? Unless you every month count ngam ngam 1k of spending. Should go for like 2k or something. Anyway, that's my opinion la. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 1 2015, 08:48 AM) That's not true. Pay when the time comes. Money can be deposited into place like maybank2 savers, ambank true savers. If time your transaction correctly, you can even put into FD. That's definitely not kelvinlzy meant. That way, you will earn additional interest rather than putting.money in normal saving account. He meant, for e.g. let's say you swipe RM 500 before statement date and now you are left with 500 CL. After statement date, you swipe another RM 500. Now all your limit is used up. When the first due date comes, you only pay for the 500 which is charged before statement date. So, it only opens up 500 of your CL. Either you live with this RM 500 or clear the rest to get more CL. In reality, the 500 swiped after statement date can be paid in the next due date which could be a month later but because you will need to use more, so you have to pay earlier. In this way, you don't fully enjoy the benefits of CC. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 2 2015, 02:25 PM) This is what I will do. On statement date, Deposit RM1000 into 1 month FD. From current statement date until next statement date, it is about 1 month. The FD will matured on the statement date. Withdraw and put into M2Savers/Ambank True Savers to earn high interest as one is usually only given 20 days from statement day to payment date to pay. On payment date, withdraw from M2Savers/Ambank True Savers and settle your bills in full Apply a card but don't want to use it for first month? Repeat the above cycle by depositing fresh RM1000 on statement date. Why would I want to free up my limit when I can have the bank paying me interest and I know how much I spend a month? Banks should work for the individual and not the individual works for the bank. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=75681562 Above is my own reason for low CL. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 2 2015, 03:19 PM) You haven't owned a CC yet right, wait till you have one first and see if it can be so wonderfully planned at all time. QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Aug 2 2015, 03:24 PM) Hey fruitie, I overlooked your post above. Yes that is what I meant exactly. With low CL, you need to free your limit occasionally. I also have to always remember different statement date to maximize CC benefits. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 4 2015, 10:05 AM) walk-in to KLCC branch yesterday evening. Cool! Thanks for the information. didnt bring any documents since my pay goes into mbb, just fill up form, staff print out my epf statement on-the-spot, and that's about it. i didnt convert my m2card cuz i noticed i have existing BTs from the previous BT promo from MBB. still prefer to keep m2c amex for ad-hoc dining at malls. did a small chat about the m2card revision, she said many ppl was furious (no doubt!) and came to apply mc ikhwan. I'll do the same too in September or October, since I have just cancelled my RHB card. If my VOX is approved, I will cut CIMB CR as well. If really cannot, then I will tell them to convert my card lo... |

QUOTE(yyie @ Aug 4 2015, 10:11 AM) It depends what is your usage. VOX is better for me.Some said can be used to pay UniFi, I'm yet to have it and try, so I can't validate myself. It also allows flight tickets which CIMB CR cannot. I travel for leisure quite often, so I will appreciate VOX. My business trips are paid directly by companies, so that's not a concern, only my leisure trips are. QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 4 2015, 10:15 AM) nope, no promo. Another question on the approval, did you get it on the spot or after a while via SMS?my purpose is to get a standby card for petrol/grocery (fri/sat) and to complement with m2card amex for dining (sat/sun) Thanks. |
