latest updated from me, after 1 week application of this ikhwan card, today morning i saw the card appear in my cards in the m2u with a Active button..

hooray, finally some good news after being rejected by public bank last 2 weeks.

Thanks to maybank, i thought will be rejected as well, but you gave me a surprise answer. But the credit limit is just 5k...3 times below my m2u card...but nvm, better than nth..  

maybe you can try reduce ur other credit card limit =X

you may reduce your cl from other unimportant cc. i suppose you have other cc right?

Yea. I think when they check ctos, if you have too much credit card limit (include all banks cc), might affect ur approval also..
I just reduce my ocbc credit limit, this might be the reason they approved my application since my credit limit for all credit cards on hand is not as high as before

Good for you. I submitted my form with the supporting documents in Menara Maybank, and the officer said that they can't processes my application within a day. What a surprise!

I just called Maybank CS and my application was rejected. Well, I have only Maybank 2 Card Amex, and no other cards from other bank. I have no loans, and I fulfil the income requirement for Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Platinum. I just do not understand the reason my application was rejected.

Do you guys spend a lot (more than RM 2000, I guess) on Maybank 2 Card, and it helps to brighten the chances of getting Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan approved?

perhaps we could wait a while before applying, who knows maybe MBB going to revise some of the features too like what they did to M2C.

this card is my target too. for petrol and groceries.

no, im not saying whether MBB will restrict me from applying even i already have the M2C.
I just worry MBB going to cut/limit the 5% CB for this card, just like how they did to M2C.

I would like to apply Maybankard Islamic Ikhwan Card and want it to share the limit with my existing Maybank 2 Cards. Is that possible?

I walk in klcc branch to fill application for ikhwan card. But the staff told me to wait next week and no 1 hour approval in weekend.

Yup, if everyone apply now then Maybank will think that people cut MBB2 but still apply for this card, so they don't lose anything.

Last time you applies through card center?

Since card center rejected you, you may try apply through MBB booth.

My experience to applied for M2Cards is worked last time. Card center rejected but applies from booth was approved, both application between 1 month only

Does the Fri & Sat cash back is based on the date we swipe the card (transaction date) or based on posting date (i.e., similar to MBB 2 AMEX Card)?

Is it if I have maybank credit card then apply this will auto approve? Cos I apply at branch last 2 days but no news. Usually apply other credit card they will call me to verify and confirm right.

Wats the reason of reject? It is just entry-level card
