QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 21 2015, 11:38 PM) Since I'll be free for the coming three days, boss just booked flight today for his tomorrow's holiday trip to Phuket; I guess it is high time for me to look into this and need to go to KLCC/MV for application. Which centre will have higher chance? I'm actually thinking of KLCC because I will need to go to RHB KLCC to fix my online banking as well. Still no online banking to view my transactions. Gardens one appears to be more "Friendly"

QUOTE(PsychoJoe @ Jul 24 2015, 12:04 AM) I didn't have to provide any docs when I applied @ Gardens. Passed them my current credit card and ic, filled in the form and the card was in my hand within that day itself. My experience is that the M2C credit limit reduction takes some time. I got my ikhwan card same day from Gardens on Monday (20th) and the M2C credit limit change only took effect today (I got an SMS from MBB stating as such). My limit reduction was done by mistake by one of the staff in the card center. The next day I try to swipe my card, transaction was denied >_> Took them super long to restore the previous limit thou.

QUOTE(Lord_Penguin @ Jul 26 2015, 10:10 PM) I think shouldn't be an issue on the approval since already own M2C (also recently terminated my backup SCB MC)... Looks like this is the only ideal CC for 5% CB, will head to The Gardens and apply this MC over the weekend, thanks A lot of people holding M2C and have decent records are rejected too by MBB So, good luck for your application as well

QUOTE(David83 @ Jul 27 2015, 07:57 PM) They don't want too many MBB2 AMEX holders to migrate to this card. No option really. All you have to do is fill up the conversion form, and they're screwed still

QUOTE(red_scorpion @ Jul 28 2015, 04:45 PM) you are transfering from Maybank Card A to Card B? I never heard about of balance transfer within same bank. anybody tried it before? It's same bank but different entity.... 1 Conventional, 1 islamic. But the cheapest rate is 4,5% pa for 24 months. 12 month BT = 1% interest per month.

QUOTE(suadrif @ Jul 29 2015, 08:12 AM) yup even without promo, its still will be charged 3% one time + 0.5% per month The 24 months one more interesting then. And I thought without promo, is 1% per month? Or at least, the forms said so.

QUOTE(suadrif @ Jul 29 2015, 09:11 AM) the promo is only for 0% easypay for 12 months the rest of that is normal charge, without promo 3% one time is more or less equivalent to 0.25% per month, flat as for 24 months is 0.375% per month, or compounding based on monthly balance if not meet minimum payment 12 months is more preferable. Islamic loan/financing no compounding charges, IIRC. Just uber high interest if you can't meet monthly payment Yeah, 3% upfront is actually much better.

QUOTE(sendohz @ Jul 30 2015, 09:34 AM) I see. Thanks for the info. Therefore i need to go to Maybank card center to fill in the conversion form and wait for the procedures right? If you lazy, can even scan and email. But slow processing la. If you go to those center and rush them a little, faster results

My friend's Ikhwan approved under 3 working days via conversion from M2C. So it's safe to say, it's doable and highly will be processed. On the sadder note however, my request for a limit revision hit a roadblock. Bank is unwilling to give me more

QUOTE(sendohz @ Jul 30 2015, 02:45 PM) Ok thanks. But FYI my application just recently got rejected. I can still go to Card center and convert M2C to ikhwan in your opinion? Why not? Why don't you try 1st, and give us feedback later? Easier, no?

QUOTE(wan7075 @ Jul 31 2015, 09:06 AM) any benefit for doing this? CL still is 8k. They want to get the Ikhwan card for petrol and groceries rebate while not giving up on the 5% CB for Dining for M2C. Honestly, I rather cut the M2C and go fully to Ikhwan. Dining on weekends is hard to achieve and not many place accepts Amex.

QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Jul 31 2015, 10:07 AM) Your other spending goes to which card? If not can use Amex which can still earn you 5x TP. Visa Signatures So, I memang have no reason to keep M2C.... It's sharing my limit anyways. Keep or no keep, same only. My wallet can only fit 6 cards, minus 3 for IC/Driving license/Bank ATM card. So left 3 cards only can bring.
