QUOTE(sharp56 @ Nov 3 2014, 10:05 AM) Mind sharing what stock apps are safe to disable and what 3rd party apps are better replacement? Roughly how much % battery saving effect does it has on your GN4 by disabling these stock apps? You can disable any app you don't wish to use. Only core app even if you want to disable system will disallow. It is generally safe to disable if system allows it The thought of phone being unsafe never ever occur to me. I had been doing such in all my Androids for past 7 years already Just try it yourself If you need more features to disable stuff root phone n used titanium backup to do it Disabling app will not allow it in background I cannot tell you how much battery savings you will have. I disabled such stuffs to have a better smoother experience n not so much for battery savings . And I simply hate to see those app which I never wish to use in my app drawers list

Do you normally greenify your browser ?
I find that it's my most used app but then at the same time it's kept in the background whenever I want to use it.
Do you think I should put it into my white list in greenify ?

If I could disable an unwanted stock app in the phone's application manager then I would not need to root my phone and pay for titanium backup to disable it unless I want to save some space in the phone's real estate by removing the program, isn't it? Is there any difference?

To Note 4 user, i got 1 question. Since Note 4 display is 2k, how well does it display 720p movie? I means does it pixelated due to upscale to fit to screen? Ask this because i mostly play movie via my phone (still using s3 now). Dl full seasons Arrow, Supenatural, Flash, etc series and watch em on my phone. Since S3 display is 720p, those movies is amazing, sharp and crips. No idea how it looks like on FHD or even 2K display.

This was one of my main concern too as i stream netflix hulu and plex heavily on my phone. Im happy to say 720p content look just fine on this screen Maybe if you compare it to a note 2 screen things might be ever so slightly softer on the note 4 screen, but its negligible. Dont worry about 720p content on this screen, it will look just fine.

Hi khainiz94 and Nephrite, and any other Gear S owner.
Can you test this on your Gear S.
DISABLE bluetooth on your PHONE. Use the Here app and see if it can lock on a GPS signal quickly. Try the same with bluetooth pairing.
You can also use the S-Health Walking monitor on the Gear S, and Enable GPS Logging. See how long it takes with and without bluetooth pairing to the phone.
Appreciate if you can report the results.
I find that mine cannot have a GPS lock without the phone. This is not acceptable behaviour.

It is a bit on the soft side but anyway the video is still great on a 2K display. Watch Hulu and Netflix on my phone. Not so bad actually.
