It won't affect the phone. I disabled that plus many other Samsung stuffs ( including its TW launchers) - all app or widgets I never wish to use
SPen functionality still remains with Nova Launcher

Mind sharing what stock apps are safe to disable and what 3rd party apps are better replacement? Roughly how much % battery saving effect does it has on your GN4 by disabling these stock apps?

You can disable any app you don't wish to use. Only core app even if you want to disable system will disallow. It is generally safe to disable if system allows it
The thought of phone being unsafe never ever occur to me. I had been doing such in all my Androids for past 7 years already
Just try it yourself
If you need more features to disable stuff root phone n used titanium backup to do it
Disabling app will not allow it in background
I cannot tell you how much battery savings you will have. I disabled such stuffs to have a better smoother experience n not so much for battery savings . And I simply hate to see those app which I never wish to use in my app drawers list

Thanks for the enlightenment.

If I could disable an unwanted stock app in the phone's application manager then I would not need to root my phone and pay for titanium backup to disable it unless I want to save some space in the phone's real estate by removing the program, isn't it? Is there any difference?

Just a quick question....For the turning on of location GPS, the previous version of android provides a tick on GPS and phone wifi to get better accuracy of location. I notice now under location, only the GPS is turnable on/off. Where can I turn the phone wifi on for GPS without GPS being turned on?

change the location setting from high accuracy to power saving

Thanks, Rickray for the answer. I missed out that one.

However, I noticed if I switch the location in the notification panel to off, both the GPS and cellular position are turned off no matter whether the location setting is set to high accuracy or power saving.

When I turned off the location in my notification panel and tried using cerberus, it states "all location services are off, you won't be able to get the location of the device!". In my previous phone if I turn the location in the notification panel to off, the cellular position will be still on. Earlier, there was a choice of ticking the GPS and cellular position and if one switch off the location notification panel, only the GPS is switch off and not the cellular position.

I guess the location notification panel must always be set to on to get any means of position in this phone.

Can someone help me on my Note 4 with this problem?

I tried to download the Samsung Galaxy Gift apps. Every time I tried to download any apps from there, it says that there are no network available. I have enabled my mobile data in my umobile network settings. In the apps I have dis-engaged "use wifi only" to "whenever data availabe" for downloading of apps but also to no avail. But, all these while I am able to surf internet without problem. It's just that I faced no network available on Samsung Gift apps.
