QUOTE(thelightside @ Oct 30 2014, 06:58 PM) Sliding from left ro right on Google apps (Play Store and Youtube), Email app lags like hell, closing tab and changing in both Internet and Chrome app, some stuttering when changing between home screens, Facebook sometimes stutter but I like the app loading, it is so fast. I'm not trying to bash this phone but the lag is so apparent even my Note 3 does not even have the lag. The stuttering is really noticeable. And the surprising thing is the phone temp once reached 41°C. |

QUOTE(arslow @ Oct 30 2014, 08:36 PM) Yeah google app has some jank here n there, but I'm sure it'll get better after a number of updates. Samsung is most probably rushing to release lollipop for this phone now, so we might not have many firmware updates till that releases. I thought I'm the only one experiencing. Another thing is does your phone is hot? Because my phone is easily getting hot especially playing Asphalt 8. |

QUOTE(kwiklee @ Oct 31 2014, 08:11 PM) Not sure about you guys but my note 4 is blazing fast in opening apps or ending call and moving to my next job. Now my phone is so fast. Maybe the weather is really great and cool. My phone only lags when it is hot or the weather is quite hot. I hope it continue this way or maybe will send back to SC. Lemon units perhaps ? Try disable some apps that you don't use or factory reset |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 31 2014, 03:07 AM) - Left to right in Google Apps (Play Store and YouTube) - extremely crazy smooth. The problem with Chrome is the lag is much more apparent on the Note 4 than my 1 yr old Note 3. But now it is so damn fast maybe because of the weather. Previously the phone will lag if the weather is hot or the phone is hot. But since Batu Pahat rain a lot, the phone is so damn smooth. What is happening actually? - Email - no idea as never use. - closing tab in chrome - it shuttering in all device I use before, include M8, Z Tablet, Redmi Note and off course Note 4. - Home screen switching - Smooth, no issue here, just only dislike sometimes the Briefing no pull out effect but jump out. - Facebook - extremely crazy smooth. - Temp reaching. 41°C - normal for any phone since year 2012. Go touch any snapdragon 4 Pro phone like Xperia Z, that is call superb heat. - Note 3 no lag - ??? Any part Note 4 also smoother than Note 3. |

QUOTE(arslow @ Oct 31 2014, 09:15 PM) mine usually 6.5 by 15 % or so. btw wanna ask, whenu say ur phone is 41 degrees, what app are u using to see that? Bcoz its perfectly normal for the CPU to be 41 degrees at idle. The batt temp would be about 33 degrees or less at idle. I think uncle benny is talking about his batt temp and not the cpu temp.... Via Antutu and was playing Asphalt 8. And yes battery temp. It makes my phone hot even I can feel my phone Screen is hot around it. |

And anyone try to change Dalvik to ART? How it is performing? Because my phone really damn hot after changing to ART, even the metal body like it is burning. And during the transition, I put on my bed and under it was so hot. Even on idle. I'm afraid something bad will happen to my phone. So I change back to Dalvik. Is ART stable?

QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 31 2014, 09:46 PM) ART is not stable. I don't even want to try it The phone is so hot like burning. This problem happens when I change to ART. The problem dissapears when changing back to Dalvik. The hotness I experience using Dalvik is when the weather is hot. The phone easily get hot even even it is idle. What is so hot ? What battery temperature are you recording I don't know how familiar you are with high spec smartphone : hot means 50 degree C n above. Normal usage 36-40 degree is common Your description of hotness is frightening The phone can easily sustain temperature up to 60 degree C but I had yet to hear such temperature recorded. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Oct 31 2014, 10:31 PM) You are giving qualitative descriptions. Any recommendations? Will install and monitor. Please provide quantitative measures. Install some temp monitoring software and report again. Humans feel anything above 37 degrees C to the touch as hot. We can definitely stand touching up to 50 degrees. Note however that this is some kind of new battery chemistry as I reported earlier. It is charging from nominal 3.85V to 4.4V. All others I've seen so far are 3.7V or 3.8V to 4.2V or 4.3V. |
