QUOTE(rusty @ Nov 5 2014, 02:26 PM) Just got my note 4 signed with Digi in Mid Valley on Sunday. Here my nightmare begin. After came out of the store (checking everything working fine), suddenly my new fresh from oven Note 4 restart itself. Ok i tot may b i accidentally hold n press the power power so never bother. Got back home before i start configuring the phone, it restart again!!! Then i tot may b when the guy change the S-view flip case, the battery was not properly place, so i take out and put it in again and continue to configure and install the apps that i used to use and left it charge through the nite. The next day whole morning in the office, it restart without any reason for at least 5 times randomly!!! Hi,Nothing i can do because of too busy with my work and went back digi store MV yesterday to demand for 1-to-1 exchange. They said not possible, they only can help me check the phone and c wat really happen. But the technician wasn't there so they suggest me to go Gardens Samsung SC. As i was writing this, the phone just restarted! Who else here facing this issue?! I'm clueless what caused this. I have the same problem with you before. When I got the new Note 4 in less than 3 hours it already randomly restarted. At first, I thought I was accidentally pressed the power button so never bother about it. But when I put it on my table after not using it for a while it will auto restart say after 10, 20 or 30 minutes. I have not installed any Apps yet, not even signed in to my Google Account or Samsung Account, etc. The auto restart began even no SIM card inside. Initially, I thought it could be no SIM card inside. Therefore, I put in the SIM card but after a short while it will still auto restarted. At that time I have not used any memory card. The next day I called the Samsung Service Center by complaining to them I got the new Note 4 in less than 1 day already have this auto restart issue. Why the quality control is so lousy?? Since it was less than 1 day they asked me to go back to place of purchase to ask for 1-to-1 exchange. When I went to the seller they asked me to go to Samsung Service Center for warranty claim. It is very sad isn't it they just pushed me here and there. But after I explained the problem to the seller, I was lucky that the seller replaced another new unit of Note 4 for me, Since then, I never have any auto restart issue in my Note 4. This is definitely is the phone's hardware failure, they have to replace a new unit rather just repair. I am writing this to you because I know how you feel now! I was having the same situation like you. If can, ask them for a new unit. This is not the software problem. Good luck!! |

QUOTE(firstknight @ Nov 5 2014, 10:50 PM) I also preferred to use note 4 in its naked form with additional screen protector. I missed the feeling of swiping on actual glass. Btw, I felt that xperia Z1 and Z2 gave much better solid cold metal feeling. Note 4 even in air-conditioned room didn't felt the coldness. |

Those "things" that leave the top and bottom exposed are COVERS and I personally would not recommend it. Your phone, your choice. |

The aircond not strong enough I think. My university aircond makes my note 4 metal cool. I can feel it and it's really cold.Btw, I felt that xperia Z1 and Z2 gave much better solid cold metal feeling. Note 4 even in air-conditioned room didn't felt the coldness. My house aircond not as strong as my university ones. A bit cold. |

You might not know your future incoming. In an enterprise, you have the IT team backing important stuff up. Company pays for that "insurance" because the data is valuable. We all know at least 90% of people never back up their stuff. So many stories of "help me recover my pics" or "I dropped my phone and it has dented/cracked screen"... Even J. Lo insures her, ahem, ass-ets. |

My gear S almost ran out of battery yesterday. Lasting only 13 hours usually could last for 2 days. Anyone experiencing this after the update? I only use it to push notifications. I suspect it's the call forwarding feature. It keep on telling me to disable it while connected to phone. Before update no problem.
