I just rooted my phone, but now after i start up and installed supersu, disabling knox is taking a really long time... is it normal?
*
It will stuck in a loop, just close supersu and reboot
When you launch supersu again, this time disabling knox will happen instantly

Guys, quick check in case some one of you uses the S Health app.

Do you notice any slow network issues while backing up to or restoring from S Health servers? I think the recent S Health app update screwed it up. First it asked for a password although I never put any and the Samsung Account password didn't work. So I reset the app but I couldn't get it to restore from S Health servers. It kept saying network error.

This is from a stock out of box condition. No mods.
*
I also keep getting network error when I try to restore with my broadband connection
Then I switched to my home wifi and it takes extremely long to restore the data

I have to restore data cause after you root the data is gone

Rooting will not delete any data. How come you had lost yours? You had selected repartition in Odin?

I think my phone self reboot around 5 times already, usually when updating apps then when I try to open recent apps, it lags and reboots itself

It also happens when I quit a game and access recent apps

You got download pirated apps? If yes then it might be the case.

Before download also got face this problem already hmm.gif

QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 30 2014, 02:28 PM)
Use helium app to backup n restore
No root necessary but you cannot restore app data unless rooted
These sudden reboot usually due to incompatible app or app installed from unofficial sources
*
I think i'll use Titanium

Titanium doesn't work with different version of Android or different rom?

benny888 Hi, wanna ask is the S Health still working under latest version with xposed framework and XSecureStorage?
*
I think he's not using S Health

I'm currently using S Health with xposed framework and XSecureStorage and it works just fine
When you root, the S Health data will be gone though when you root

When I try to perform factory reset from settings, it rebooted and goes into recovery with an error message "dm-verity verification failed..." with the standard recovery options

So I rebooted, and it booted and nothing changes

Just flashed Wannam's rom  WanamLite XXU1ANJ4 V1.0
I had already done a backup of the official stock rom previously using ChengLu CWM
EFS - IMEI backup also done previously
I only needed to wipe cache partition only and all my data remains intact
Developer recommend to wipe data only if moving over from other custom rom
Rom installation smoothly done without any errors
Will test it out and report any issues

Rom screenshots BEFORE and AFTER

If didn't wipe data then all the bloatware like Facebook apps, etc all are still there?
Cause I flashed this rom and when I try to remove there's only a disable option

Actually you no need custom ROM. Just root and use titanium backup to freeze it (won't run) or permanent remove it.

No custom ROM will simply remove this and that unless it get mention which is remove.

Removed Apps:

Knox container and its services
Flipboard, Whatsapp, Facebook apps, Google Plus, Books and Newsstand and few other Apps that can be downloaded from the PlayStore

This?

Those who would like to freeze any app, and doesn't need whatever extras in Titanium Backup, below is a way to freeze apps. Me myself prefer to do the hard way rather than using any fugly apps.

CODE
pm list packages
pm disable package.name

* the 1st line list down all installed packages (apps) installed in your phone
* replace package.name to whatever listed packages as above

The original tip is from here: http://goo.gl/hy8aZI

* I haven't test this on GN4. I disclaim whatever fu you do on your phone. Cheers.
*
Thanks

Enjoy your hunting. I suggest to use script to automagically freeze those apps.

Well in my Galaxy Note II, I just use TB to freeze almost everything that Samsung installs sweat.gif
