Damn. Looks like my battery is bulging again. It's been only a year since I last changed mine. When I press the bulge area, a different area on would turn black like a pressure effect.

Hello everyone. I have the same problem as well. Some say to downgrade Lollipop to Kit Kat and this will solve the camera issue. Has anyone tried it with any success?

My Z1 use by my son. Yesterday he told me can't charge. I try myself, when charging using micro usb port, the screen show Sony logo for less than 1 sec, then goes blank, LED show red, few minutes later, it's happen again. So the same process repeated for hours. Try using off button near simcard doesn't work. Seem like the battery is totally dead and won't charge.

Then I read in XDA, need to charge using magnetic charger or dock. Lucky I have both. 10 secs after charge using magnetic charger, viola, battery is charging, I can see 1% on screen. swap back to micro usb, charging continue like before.

Now I wish my Z5P also have same magnetic port.

usually this will happen if we use z1 till flat/dead
quite hassle to recharge back like normal because phone looks like dead already
need to wait several minutes till the screen show charging progress

I'm using xz now and yes, i miss the magnetic port as well. It's so convenient to use. Slot in, align phone left or right till you hear the click sound then it starts charging and i set the clock display during dock charging.

Now xz dock still need to see the port and cucuk correctly. If not sure will damage the usb port on phone or dock

I already keep in drawer the dock and magnetic charger. Most of the time use micro usb, the flap already gone anyway.

Same thing happen to my wife ZL few months ago. I have to open the back cover and remove the batt. With batt unplug, I connect phone to usb and then plug the batt back. Phone is OK until now. I going to do the same way for Z1 but not easy as ZL, so decide to find another way. Lucky found the info in XDA.

With magnetic charger, at least have 2 ways to charge and proven that port is still useful to revive a dead batt.

SEMS need to take 3 weeks to replace a xperia z1 battery? with RM200 charge?
