My Z1 batt back to normal now. (almost 2 months having problem dropping from 30% to 1% while browsing)

Attached Image

Cost
Batt = RM70 (made by LG, original in phone made by Sony)
middle seal = RM15
back cover (with seal) = RM30 - if back seal only Rm15.

have to change the back cover too because the camera lens already scratches.

i'm yet to change my battery because i cant wait for months to send them out for replacement.

i'm eyeing on Z5 compact this time because of the size alone.

which one is better, buy new one or change the battery in z1 first?
*
I change the battery.

But Z5. If want to replace with Z5 compact, for me, it's like downgrading already.
That why I go for Z5P.

yea Z5P is impressive, but nowadays phone only lasts about 2 years in their best condition...to waste 3k in this kind of economy makes me think very hard.

thanks again.

i'll look into the Z3C again...my only concern is the small size & better than average camera. as long as it's lower than 2k

I bought my Z5P at RM2419 only. Original Sony Malaysia set.

oh where did you got that?

hmm, maybe it's just me but i seems to be losing interest with all the Z5 range..ntah la. still premium but something is lacking, perhaps it's just the price which turns me off.

right now after 2 years plus, my Z1 finally get a factory reset. feels good to have a 'like new' but shame it suddenly shuts down at 58% battery. it's so random! sometimes 80% and then shut itself off

From lazada.. on year end sale last month. (discounted price + voucher)

lol mine looks like that every day  tongue.gif
for interim measures before it drops to 80% i charge with battery bank when im out ...mcm life support je

now looking for youtube videos on how to change the battery myself. looks easy enough, but have to make do without the waterproof la after this  sweat.gif
*
very easy, easier than ZL.

need to buy middle seal and back cover seal (3M) to maintain the waterproof.

Updated my Z1 using OTA 2days ago. During the new firmware installation, i just keep it in my bag for few hours, don't want to wait cos I driving. When I take out, the phone is extremely HOT. I notice the battery drop from 90% to 50%. After shutdown and recharge to full, the phone back to normal.

Already running for 2 days in standby mode and battery still have 94%. Estimated 4 days 22 hours battery time left... greats.

My Z1 use by my son. Yesterday he told me can't charge. I try myself, when charging using micro usb port, the screen show Sony logo for less than 1 sec, then goes blank, LED show red, few minutes later, it's happen again. So the same process repeated for hours. Try using off button near simcard doesn't work. Seem like the battery is totally dead and won't charge.

Then I read in XDA, need to charge using magnetic charger or dock. Lucky I have both. 10 secs after charge using magnetic charger, viola, battery is charging, I can see 1% on screen. swap back to micro usb, charging continue like before.

Now I wish my Z5P also have same magnetic port.

lol
my case terbalik one
need wall plug charged using usb port
since magnetic charging quite slow

usually this will happen if we use z1 till flat/dead
quite hassle to recharge back like normal because phone looks like dead already
need to wait several minutes till the screen show charging progress
*
I already keep in drawer the dock and magnetic charger. Most of the time use micro usb, the flap already gone anyway.

Same thing happen to my wife ZL few months ago. I have to open the back cover and remove the batt. With batt unplug, I connect phone to usb and then plug the batt back. Phone is OK until now. I going to do the same way for Z1 but not easy as ZL, so decide to find another way. Lucky found the info in XDA.

With magnetic charger, at least have 2 ways to charge and proven that port is still useful to revive a dead batt.
