i'm yet to change my battery because i cant wait for months to send them out for replacement.

i'm eyeing on Z5 compact this time because of the size alone.

which one is better, buy new one or change the battery in z1 first?

But Z5. If want to replace with Z5 compact, for me, it's like downgrading already.
That why I go for Z5P.

yea Z5P is impressive, but nowadays phone only lasts about 2 years in their best condition...to waste 3k in this kind of economy makes me think very hard.

hmm, maybe it's just me but i seems to be losing interest with all the Z5 range..ntah la. still premium but something is lacking, perhaps it's just the price which turns me off.

right now after 2 years plus, my Z1 finally get a factory reset. feels good to have a 'like new' but shame it suddenly shuts down at 58% battery. it's so random! sometimes 80% and then shut itself off

no matter how careful im using it
now my usb flap suddenly cannot fit, longgar semacam saja
my back camera blurry- need to change camera module + back cover

but performance still tip top
and i will use it although z5 very tempting....

flap can easily get from lelong or sony.

camera blurry only cause by back cover like mine.

mine when remove the back cover, the pic really sharp.

i dont know why, even back cover removed,
still my camera cant autofocus, got blur pic like some smudge on it
cleaned with alcohol, no luck

i just factory reset my phone today & upgrade to latest firmware using pcc.
then the upgrade finish, pcc asked the phone to be removed from computer & restart.
i reboot the phone, lolipop boot style, looks ok at first. then wait for upgrade to finish.
i left it for a while, doing something then came back found the phone is dead. try charging no LED even. try hard reset, force ON + vol button, nothing.

i am now left with a fancy brick
what am i supposed to do?

Im wanna try custom rom....im kinda lost with the instruction given on the XDA-developer site. currently my phone only rooted....

other z1 user already got 5.1.1 update
Also i already tweeted Sony Malaysia about the update....they reply the update is rolling out in phases and seek our kind understanding....haha
