thanks for the info bro
hehe
was cracking my head

saw the z4 in tokyo few days bck
looks ok only.not so impressed wit it
*
hmmm... i was tempted to upgrade to z3+ until i saw this...

http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/06/10/japan...of-heat-issues/

previously it was reported that Z3+/Z4 uses S810 v2.1 which should have solved the heating issue. but now seems like it did...

luckily my z1 still serving me well. with the new battery, i guess i can wait longer for a true worthy successor

If the set really arrives in Malaysia, I will judge how. Prefer hands on

You can test the z4 tablet first. Same spec

Mobile Device never part of the huge resolution for SONY Malaysia, not surprise if z4 not coming to local store. Plus, it still within the box of z1, minor specification and design improvement though it reach the 4th edition.

Anyway, for those who plan to have battery replacement, SEMS Service at Amcorp temporarily out of stock. Might need to wait for couple of days.
*
well, if compared to z1, there's already quite a significant upgrades

- bigger and better screen
- stereo front facing speaker
- 32GB internal storage
- longer battery life
- slimmer and lighter
- flapless usb port
- better processor and graphics chipset

well, if not for the overheat and big throttling issue of the processor, i really think it's a great upgrade for z1 owner

Pricing for M4 aqua and C4 is just right. The tablet is kinda pain although it's great.
*
i'm actually considering getting the z4 tablet to replace my aging laptop. but the lag of full size usb ports are holding me back. sony should have build in full size usb port on the keyboard

Tablet will never be a best replacement for laptop, nor iPad is. wink.gif
unless if you are looking for hybrid laptops. There are quite some decent ones in the market.
*
well, i only need it to do some simple doc and most of the time online and watch movie. don't really need powerful processing power. that's y looking at tablets as well as hybrid laptops

I can't agree more. With the new battery is like a new lease of life. Plus quite a number of us have already change theirs, myself included. Z3+ is easy to skip. I will most likely be upgrading on the next one that comes along.
*
yeah... and i am very satisfied with the battery in z1. i was shocked when my friend who is using s4 almost the same time as me told me that he had changed the battery 3 times already and are using the 4th one now... shocking.gif

Wow, that's too much. it's like changing AA battery for remote controller. Probably the way he using his phone affect the lifespan.
*
possible also... heavy user may be required to charge his hp more often and so shorter battery lifespan.

Bro, you still using the ultimate shield tempered glass ? there is no hole for the proximity sensor at the tempered glass ?
*
i was using it, but had my screen changed. so i tot to try glass-m and am using it as of now.

for ultimate shield, yes, there is no sensor cut out hole on the temper glass and it won't affect it's functionality

From what I have read so far, the next flagship phone from Sony is gonna be on Snapdragon 820, exciting new features and with a new design language. Bye bye to Omnibalance! How many of us will upgrade next year?
*
I'll wait and see how's the new design looks like first. Also hopefully it comes with much improved camera and the new processor doesn't overheat as in 810

for me, heat is always there on my z1 whenever i play games, regardless of jb, kk or lp. the heat can be very hot if playing in outdoor. however, even when it's hot, i have never encounter any hang or apps shutdown/force close whatsoever. so to me the heat on my z1 is still acceptable.

Hi guys,

If I send in to replace the battery, will my phone still be waterproof after the procedure?

My battery is acting weird where by around 50%, it will shut down and the display will show battery is at 1%? Anyone else encounter the same thing?
*
i'll say most probably is battery problem. mine last time was like in 30% and if use any apps straight away show battery low and shut off

Upgraded to lollipop. Really not used to the UI and shortcut. Miss jellybean now..
A question, if factory reset without erasing internal storage data (there is option to uncheck), will it affect any performance?
*
usually i'll erase all if i am doing the factory reset. why do it half way if you need to reset it? just clear all for a peace of mind
