Told you, brightstar should become black star , i knew the experience as i had been surveying around lowyat. The best Deal is to deal with dealers around. KL have so many dealears for notebook or pc parts but you have to do some research first. some of them at Lelong.

above 29 fps acceptable, i usually aim for 60fps above.
*
yup, slightly tuned the setting from utra to high will gain up to 60fps for COD Advanced warfare.
Enough for me.

Do you notice a big difference between high and ultra?

usually since the difference is not much, just play at high with higher fps.
*
not much difference, ambient occlusion, dynamic shadows, anti aliasing are set to high
For texture quality its remain extra. So overall graphics still excellent yet super smooth compare to all setting set to extra.

G551 series having serious issues with the hard-drive it self, the pre-installed drive is sucks. believe me, after changed a new one, to 7200rpm, SSHD, SSD will 100% boost up the overall performance. 4GB on 64bit windows are NOT an issue But gaming is an issue for COD. For all latest PC games require 6GB of ram as minimum depends on how much background process or program you run such as antivirus will also effect the performance.

Too boost overall gaming performance, turn off wifi. so most windows background process will stop such as windows update.. etc etc..
Turn off antivirus background scan or etc.. Recommend kaspersky antivirus, best and light.

Fresh install windows and drivers. Remove bloatwares. 100% guaranteed asus A series laptop also can be as fast as light!

Unfortunately G750JX has 770M only. I doubt I can sell it near RM3.8k. I was thinking to upgrade to G751 for the 970M and IPS display... I guess I will stay faithful to my G750...

Seriously? Why MSI when we can Asus? Post at right place please.. kinda annoying.

Asus Service center had improved alot, enjoy the services. They will probably replace everything for u, so those rumors you heard are expired and by haters.
Another story by my lucky friend, she got new G551 as replacement by asus after warranty for N series failed ( dont know why). The reason is she droped and damaged the notebook. hmm.gif Asus, I forgot the warranty T&C, did warranty cover all the things? Hopefully i receive G751 as replacement when i purposely damage my G750 rclxm9.gif
lol.. just kidding, i love my g750.

After I considered to replace my G750, now my G750 GPU has developed problem (I suspect it could be due to faulty fan) so now I need to send it service center. I didn't know my Notebook has feelings...  ohmy.gif
*
Don't worry, they will replace a new GPU fan for you. Service center now Open including Sunday. Better if you wait the GPU Burns, They might get you G751 if G750 out of service. brows.gif Or GTX800 series GPU replacement.
lol.. .don't do that.

Hi all, new G551JM user reporting in. Just got this laptop last night. Still trying to get used to it, coming from XPS L502X (which crashed on me after 4 years plus, and though I think it can still be saved, it's a bit risky doing my work on it) so I decided to get new one.

So far, I'm liking the keyboard but the screen colour didn't match my liking so I did some changes. Things look a bit washed out, not sure if it's just me. Maybe I'm still too used to glossy screen so I don't know how matte looks in comparison. Gonna try some games on it soon ^^

Hows the temperature (outside and inside) and performance?
Can do some review?

Any G751JT user if you experience USB 3.0 problem at the left port, please update the bios to the latest which is 205, reset the bios setting afterward in bios menu.

G751JT successfully beat the desktop performance with COD: advanced warfare at EXTRA textures graphic , 75hz refresh rate, v sync enabled.

desktop spec:
-I7 4790
-H97 Pro gamer MB
-Kingston hyperx 8GB 1600 ram
-GTX970 strix
-WD Black HDD

surprisingly desktop lag and frame drop with same setting compared to G751JT with very smooth graphics.

Yup.. same resolution, same setting. I think is the motherboard problem. Its impossible desktop lag compare to laptop. Testing many games still g751 win.. loll
