If you see here and here, you can see that the same model are being sold, G751JT-T7050, which if I'm not mistaken, the version without GSYNC. I don't know, maybe sifus who owned this model can help. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that during that time, there was already a price hike of about RM 600. And now, another hike of RM 500, only this time it's a newer model, 6th Gen, DDR4 and last but not least, IPS with GSYNC, hopefully.

Yes, it is still not a common standard, but really is a nice feature to have. There will be converter from usb type C to type A, but you will never get the power input/output of type C. So at least your future phone(that uses type C connector) might benefit from the type C your G752 has.

Sup yo, my GL552JX come with 1TB HDD. Plan is, to change to 256gb SSD for OS and 1TB HDD 7.2k rpm for normal use/file. Is it possible? How do i clone my OS from HDD to new SSD later?

i was talking about news related to skylake in general. i don't think bending issue affects laptop cpus.

right; so just hope for the best. i actually planned to have a little taste of skylake at later time. of all components, cpu is more important to me than gpu.

btw msi has started to roll out bios fix for their desktop mobos. let's wait and see if the fix impacts anything.

Hi all, I own a G53SX - S1208V.  Currently I trying to setup with three monitor. Using three usb video adapter. Problem is I can't open Nvidia control panel. It no respond at all. Anyone can advise me any topic have discuss this.

gx700 imo is the only laptop with such a nice cooling system (at first glance; not considering maintenance parts, like coolant, cleanup, etc. yet). however you might also need to consider changing your table.

again, personally i buy laptops because of portability with the sacrifice of the flexibility for future part upgrades, and at the same time, hopefully i can get a decent cpu/gpu performance that i can bring to anywhere without hassles (for cpu, all my aw's are running at at least 4ghz for work purposes) if i need beyond that, portability will be limited.

yeah the price tag is kind of too much. with 19k, i rather build a desktop power house, and brings back the flexibility to swap parts when time comes.

edit: i forgot to say this - it's a damn good idea to include a water cooling system in a box for laptops, and i'm glad asus makes this work. if they can include longer tubes, it will be much better, because you can put the cooler else where.

A quick research on Google yield results of GL552VW-DH##, while in lowyat forums the model series  starts with DM (GL552VW-DM##), hence the confusion.

Weirdly enough, even ASUS (to my knowledge) fails to properly list down the models of the series, or any series for that matter. If there are variants of the same make, it would be better if they are listed so customers can know which is better or the latest version  for example. Furthermore, differences in he variants are also unknown. Does the models differ in terms of the regions they are sold? Or is the specs somewhat different?

As for the local market, I'm not sure which model is sold in Malaysia, which is why I want to know for sure which GL552VW I'm going to end up buying.

Hi, my friend has just bought a new Asus laptop with conventional 1TB HDD and he wishes to upgrade the HDD to SSD. May I know whether replacing the HDD with SSD by himself would void the Asus 2 years international warranty?

for most people, sata ssd of 120gb is enough for os plus productivity suites like ms.office, web browsers, etc. (i.e. common use), if they don't add news software along the way.

for new purchases, however, just grab sata ssd 240gb range or above. you have more space to use in the long run.

btw i have tested asus gl552jx recently. the build quality is relatively ok, but its display panel wobbles easily. with its stock hdd, it's really unbearably slow. added m.2 sata ssd, swapped ram to 2x8gb, installed w10 pro (tweaked heaviy to get rid of unused services and stuff), and it become very much better. the machine is for work purposes so 950m is good enough. the total price with upgrade is under 4.3k.
