Well first of all, you can't change the desktop currency to MYR.
And for the best rate, i would suggest to go with amazon. U hav to download the amazon app on your phone and install hearthstone from there. Yes, u hav to delete ur current app from ur phone 1st. After u logged in, u can buy packs. the best rate is to buy 40packs. Original price was 49.99usd, but in the amazon version of HS, 40 packs only requires 4499 amazon coins (44.99 usd) and it also gives a 500 bonus coins (5 usd) which is enough for 2 packs and an arena run. smile.gif

Just use Mobile for best or the Amazon coins method. But I'll still go for the earlier one.

hi all, thanks. i already know this method previously. however, i never saw the 500 bonus coins option. you sure it is still available? how to get it?

was more interested in getting the desktop to show local currency instead. cause i've got a friend in Australia, it will show prices in AUD and it's significantly much cheaper when in local currency. so was wondering the same for the desktop and for 60 pack cards if can show in MYR then that'll be great.

thanks.

Well, for now, i haven't heard of anyone in Malaysia being able to change the desktop currency to MYR. So, can't help you there.
And I can't say that I am super updated on the 500 coins bonus, but the last time I bought packs which was a month ago, it still had the bonus, because I remembered paying 45USD for 40packs and also getting to buy 2packs and an arena run. smile.gif

guys, do you spend money on your deck?
*
If you have the dough why not. I just recently played this game 2 months ago. I used to play magic the gathering so I kinda like this game. I don't have the patience to grind for gold so I buy packs whenever I can.
I spend to unlock naxx and brm set. I also buy packs of 40's.
Bottomline, If you have spare money to spent then buy.

Hey all, first time posting to this thread. Question for those who do make monetary transactions for purchases in this game.

My desktop hearthstone shows transactions in USD. However, playing on the phone, transactions are shown in MYR. Now here is where things gets weird:

Talking about a 40 card pack purchase:
Malaysia Desktop - USD49.99 - with paypal or CC - it's ~ RM189.00
Malaysia Mobile - it's flat RM180.00

Unfortunately Mobile version has a max of a 40 card pack only. Any suggestions how to maximise the best rate or fix so that my desktop also shows in MYR?

It's different due to 2 different platform. PC is direct to Blizzard, while phone goes through Google Store.

The best way to get packs is this. A bit hassle to set up though

We call it game market. Whatever is the spice like Dota 2 will eventually create more and more players whether there's quitters or staying ones.

To me, Hearthstone is the Blizzard's arsenal for CCG genre. So as their strategy games and now going Overwatch. I'm waiting for their solid FPS soon to be released too!

did anyone else notice that magic the gathering origins just recently became available as a f2p ?

so far only apple platform. only later in the month will there be a pc version ;x

they claim can gain cards from gameplay, lets hope so. Cause if they don't, people won't even bother, cept the die hard mtg fans.

i came from a mtg gaming background, so when hearthstone came out and i was in closed beta. i didn't really think much of it at the time.

WoTC need to change their marketing strategy because whether they admit it or not, HS is winning the TCG business. HS success solely due to learning the flaws of MTG and revolutionize the TCG market so that everyone can play fun card games. maybe WoTC is still king in real life card competition but they are slowly becoming a cult due to rise of internet. they are not newbie friendly at all. their online version is abysmal. they didn't construct their lore well. if it's about generating revenue WoTC need to understand that people actually have the money and able to buy the cards, its just that they will not give a cent if they somehow feel discriminate by the game developers' own ego. in that sense Blizzard really did a great job and deserve to get all the credit for attracting more audience into the entertaining TCG arena.

the only way for card players to play is convenient from their tablet, phone or pc. but their online platform sucked. and they were so stingy with gaining cards, so you only a tiny amount from thousands available ....

yes mtg is far more complex and harder to master. but some of us like that doh.gif personally i'd still have to rely on the guides for the cards i got cause i'm not a master of what works well. but still knowing when to play a card isn't that hard when it's in your hand. it's building a deck out of the many different mana types (one that works well anyway), and also conservatively balancing out the land, minion and spell cards which is hard  sweat.gif

oh talk about lands.. coz basic is not enough (for their profit statement) they made legendary lands.. how could they expect loyalty when they even charge for basics?
