QUOTE(kskoay @ Sep 18 2019, 05:51 PM) Review for gx800, but with va panel not ips.... https://youtu.be/H3KS9PohJHYI don't understand what's your obsession with these VA panels right now . Regardless of VA or IPS , these are edge lit TV which means they not an ideal TV for darker rooms anyway . VA has better contrast but they are not anywhere near OLED's true black 's level . You will not notice these difference in a typically lit room , just like majority of the people are fine with their IPS monitors . Why are you obsessed with something which you likely won't notice ? Of cause they are not comparable to oled; between va and ips, va still have better black level and contrast, this is the reason why more ppl prefer va (if wider viewing angle is not an option)

Yes, the Chinese keyboard supports the first character of Ping Ying. For example if you type A, it could mean 啊,阿 etc. I'm only using Pana remote to type I didn't try the browser. Perhaps you can try out and let us know QUOTE(kskoay @ Sep 18 2019, 07:38 AM) it will able to input chinese afterward? will this apply to browser as well? i assume normal wireless keyboard/mouse is work-able on Panasonic TV, am i right? thanks again.

But w/e floats your boat .

Bear in mind, OLED will suffer from Burnt Mark..... other than that...it's a good buy.

Oh, my 3years old( exactly 3 years on last Friday) 43dx630 got horizontal lines, and the technician told me time to change the new tv, the ips screen having problem. I am so disappointed on pana tv. Not going to get the GX model as my confidence on pana tv already gone.

Panasonic OLED now a days dont have burn mark anymore. They have Panel Maintenance feature to eliminate image retention. This feature will prompt out to perform maintenance. Hope this would help you.

The last time I looked at the 2018 sets had the occasional micro stutter with 50Hz material, do u know if they fixed it on later firmwares? The only thing I would ask the potential buyers to check if they use any non mainstream app that the Panasonic OS does not support. They support Netflix/Amazon just fine, but their catalog is not as complete as LG WebOS and Android TV.

I don't have access to Panasonic OLEDs right now but the last time I saw one was about half year ago and it was a 2018 model and they still have it . Panasonic has since released several patches to deal with the issue but from what I know they didn't completely solved it . However patches did reduced the occasion of the micro stutter . The newer 2019 models have the same problems but they are a lot rarer and harder to notice now .

Oddly I even saw the micro stutter on 24p material, so they have some processing going on that trips up their motion from time to time.

By default subtitle is not enable to display. Here is how I enable it, go play the movie file. Look at your remote for the button "Option" Press that and a new option will appear. Go thru setting here instead of the "Menu" and one of it is Subtitle. Also depend on your subtitle text/font. Sometimes UNICODE don't work. Need Chinese or other setting.
