Yes, I think the 6 retail price is to be expected, no surprises. But 6+ is really freaking expensive

6+ and 6 where got so big price difference? All Apple phones are overpriced, but people still buy them.

I don't agree with their pricing either... win some, lose some right? Interestingly, in Malaysia, Apple products are generally cheap (relative to original Apple US pricing) across the board compared with anywhere else in the world... except when it comes to iPhones Well, at least we aren't paying European prices right?

Apple products are not cheap in Malaysia, don't be disillusioned by the currency exchange. Take for example a person earning RM5000, SGD5000 and AUD5000 monthly, and this particular person wants to buy an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB. In Malaysia it's RM3149, Singapore SGD1288 and AUD1129. If you take the 5000 base salary as a comparison, that iPhone would cost more than 60% of that Malaysian's salary. Is it cheap?

If you look at the contract price of the phones in other countries compared to ours, it'll make you even more sick.

Think I give up on getting with a contract - plans don't really suit my needs and budget. May wait for retail sale then switch to SurfMore MAXIS. unless I change my mind again ...

Contract prices aside (which I completely agree are steaming piles of crap), anyone who travels for work (not necessarily many Malaysians) is probably relatively happy with Apple prices in Malaysia compared to US (which is slightly off the currency exchange) sans iPhone. If you're talking about earning power, relative disposable income, and all that... I blame our government.

I guess every big place they'll be selling the iphone they'll have display unit. if else, maybe wait a little bit.. or u just not thinking that hard and choose..
Just how wrong can it be right?

if you think more a bit, with 300 more you also get bigger screen, higher ppi (if that's your preference )
with 6+, u don't have to pinch that much, becoz all you'll see will be bigger, like in browsing, texting. And if you always watching videos, also have bigger display.
Also if you use in landscape, you'll get split screen for texting for example, and in browser you'll have tab view like in the iPad.
As for OIS, doesn't seem to be much differ in photo shooting, although in low-light condition. But it will get better for video capture.
As for me, one-hand use is more important than anything else. Maybe for some people, the 6+ also comfortable to use.

they can pull off 16Gb, just have 32 64 128 for iphone 6 which is same price to 5S 16 32 64, but they remain 16gb instead just to make everyone think is worth

storage is getting cheaper, not expensive

Hello, guys.. Sorry if the question is not related with the iPhone.. Is there anyone here cannot login to fb with the iphone? I tried to log fb in in the Setting menu, but it says "Error signing in.. There is no connection to the internet" like that..
Also can't connect to the AppStore..

Good point about the landscape mode. Imagine if other third parties start optimising their apps for the landscape view as well. Tremendous possibilities.

But i agree, our apple product accross macbook, ipad, imac, iphone are genarally cheaper compare to other countries like singapore etc2. Someone might compare telco, but we are talking about RRP where the price is not subsidised. If u talk about subsidised, open a telco company and give free phone then. Or migrate saja to other country like what umno and alvin tan said.
